Chapter 9

“Yo Niall, how you been?”

He stood up and did the bro handshake thing with my brother before looking over and shrugging.

“Better now.”

I blushed and stood up, immediately finding my way to Niall’s side, his arm gripping my waist.

“Mom’s probably done with dinner.”

“You staying for dinner?”

I rolled my eyes at Austin and laughed.

“No he’s going to go search for scraps behind the restaurants, dumbass.”

He shrugged and shoved me, making me stumble and laugh.

“Just asking a question, hoe.”

“Well it was a dumb one. Now let’s go eat, I’m starving. I didn’t eat lunch.”

“I thought Niall was going to take you out?”

I looked over at him and he shot Austin a look.

“I did, we ran into some people but I took care of it.”

Austin’s eyes went wide.

“What we talked about?”

Niall nodded and I stood there confused not knowing anything that was going on. I grabbed Niall’s hand and held onto his arm while he talked with my brother.

When they were done I smiled up at him and he returned the favor, kissing my forehead. I led him into the kitchen and he smiled at my mom.

“It smells delicious, Lisa.”

“Thank you Niall. Let’s just hope it tastes as good as it smells.”

I rolled my eyes and sat down, Niall doing the same.

“Please, Niall practically inhales food. It could taste like shit and he wouldn’t notice because he would eat it so fast.”

Niall shoved me before grabbing a plate of food and digging right in.

“It’s delicious, Lisa, thank you.”

She nodded in appreciation and I looked over, eyes wide.

“Holy shit, Niall! Slow down, the foods not going anywhere. You’re going to choke!”

He was going for thirds when I had barely finished my first plate. He shrugged and smiled innocently at me.

“I didn’t eat lunch and flights make me hungry, okay?”

 I laughed and kept eating. My mom looked over at Niall smiling.

“So how did you two meet?”

Niall looked over at me giving me a look. I laughed and nodded grabbing a spoon. We put it on our nose and made a funny face, laughing. They fell off and my mom looked at us weird. Niall smiled at her and told her everything.

“She posted a picture on instagram the night of the concert and it was like a collage sort of thing, she tagged me in it obviously. There was this picture in it with a spoon hanging off her nose and I wanted to learn how to do that so I commented on the picture and got her face time. To be completely honest, I stalked her instagram for quite a while because I thought she was gorgeous.”

I blushed and my mom smiled at me before looking back at Niall.

“I face timed her later that night and then we kept in touch after that. When she came to Canada, I had a show there that night and she and Austin came to see me so we hung out backstage with them and then they stayed the night at our hotel.”
