I've done nothing but mope around the past couple of days but not today. Today I had to go to the doctor's to make sure everything healed okay.

I put my hair in a messy side braid and threw on some leggings, keeping on the hoodie I had been in for a week now. It was Niall's and I never wanted to take it off. I haven't talked to him in a while. He would always face time me or call me but I would never answer and if he texted me asking why I would reply with an "I'm busy".

I brushed my teeth and put my glasses on before walking down the stairs. I grabbed my backpack and my mom sighed.

"Are you sure you're ready to go back?"

"It's my senior year and I've already missed enough of it. I'm going to go right after my doctor's appointment."

She nodded and I walked out the door. I got in my car and set my backpack on the seat next to me. I looked over at it and sighed thinking about all the fun times I had had, while Niall sat right there in that seat. I shook the thoughts out of my head and put the car in reverse, backing out of my driveway.

I walked into the hospital and went up to the front desk.

"What's your name?"

"Tessa Riley."

"Okay Tessa, you can go sit in those chairs and wait for the doctor to call you back."

I nodded and smiled before walking over to the chairs. I plopped down in one and sighed. This hospital has too many memories. I looked down the long hallway and just imagined me walking down them with my crutches while Niall walked slowly behind me rolling his eyes because I was taking so long, nagging me the whole time.

The doctor walked in the room and immediately spotted me, walking over to me. I thought of all the things the doctor had said about me and Niall. Whenever Niall wasn't in the room, which was rare, he would come and tell me how Niall never left my side the entire time I was asleep and how I should hold on to him, because he was a keeper.

I couldn't keep him on a tight leash forever and as soon as he left, he went and hooked up with another girl. It's just my luck though. I even lost my best friend because of him and he doesn't have the decency to stay faithful. Niall knew this was my biggest fear whenever he was away and he went and made it a reality. And to top it all off, he did it with the one person I specifically asked if they had anything going on. He straight up lied to my face by saying no.

I heard my name being called and was snapped out of the Niall trance I keep finding myself lost in. I realized it was the doctor and I slightly smiled at him while he gave me a worried look.

"Are you okay, Tessa?"

"Yeah, just a bit out of it today, that's all."

He nodded and motioned to me to come follow him. He ran some tests and took some x-rays. While we waited for the tests to come back, we chatted for a bit.

"Does anything hurt or feel broken?

Besides my heart, no.

I shook my head and he nodded writing it down on his clipboard.

"Any discomfort where your injuries were?"

I shook my head again and he smiled.

"Okay, we're all done with the questions; the tests should come back in a few minutes."

I nodded, staring straight ahead at the blank wall.

"So how's your boyfriend? Niall, wasn't it?"
