"You can sleep in here."

He set my bags down on the bed and I sighed flopping down on it, sprawling out on my back.

"Wow, you're giving me your comfy new mattress. I must be pretty damn special."

He shrugged and looked down.

"I wouldn't call something new after like two years of having it."

I rolled my eyes.

"Look, this is really sweet, honestly, but you live here Niall. I'm not making you sleep on the couch for the rest of your life in your own home."

"Who said we'd both be here for the rest of our lives?"

I groaned and covered my face with my hands, getting annoyed.

"You know what I mean Niall!"

"Yeah well you're the guest."

"Niall, I'm going to be living here from now on. I guess this is my new home so I can't be a guest in it. Don't feel obligated to bring me along anywhere you go and whatnot. I don't want to intrude and be a burden."

He muttered something under his breath again and I rolled my eyes.

"Are you going to stop muttering and let me actually hear what you're saying when you talk?!"

"Okay fine! I said what if I want you there?! What if I want you beside me all the time?! You're not intruding and you're certainly not a burden! I wouldn't have had you come live with me in London if I didn't still love you Tess!"

He took deep breaths to try to slow his breathing while a stupid ass smile spread across my face. I reached in my bag and pulled out my pajamas, making my way to the bathroom. Right before I shut the door I called back out for him.

"Niall?"

I heard him answer back from somewhere in the room. He was probably sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands, messing with his hair to distract himself from the shit he just told me.

"Yeah Tess?"

"You're sleeping with me in the bed. There's no way I'm kicking you out of your own bed. It will be just like old times. Got it, pop star?"

I could basically picture the lop sided smile stretching across his face right now as he heard the nickname that he once hated but learned to love fall from my lips. I couldn't help but do the same thing as I heard his reply.

"Sure thing princess."

I smiled to myself and shut the door. I changed as quickly as possible, wanting to get back out there with Niall. I slid my current shirt and pants off, getting goose bumps as a cold breeze blew by. Damn, it's cold in London.

I grabbed my t-shirt, throwing it over my head and pulling it down so it rested comfortably on my upper thigh. I tugged the long sleeves down and went to open the bathroom door but stopped when I heard Niall talking quietly.

"I don't know mum..."

"Yeah, she's staying here, at my flat."

"Do I still love her? Is that even a question? Of course I do."

"Maybe, I mean we're not even dating so you don't have to."

"There's nothing I want more in this world then to have her in my arms again..."

I smiled to myself and opened the door. Niall's head immediately snapped to the bathroom door and he mumbled something before hanging up. He cleared his throat and immediately, turned around, pulling the covers down on the bed.

"Who were you on the phone with?"

He stopped all his movements and cleared his throat again.

"Uh, management, it was just the usual One Direction stuff..."

I rolled my eyes and plopped down on the bed.

"You don't have to lie to me, Niall."

He sighed and slid in next to me, pulling the covers over the both of us.

"Uh fine, sorry, it was my mum."

I nodded and smiled over at him.

"Do you ever miss her?"

"All the time."

"I don't mean to intrude but what were you guys talking about?"

"You."

He answered without hesitation and I looked over at him with my eye brows raised. He immediately started stuttering and clearing his throat about a bajillion times, his face growing red with embarrassment.

"I mean, with you staying with me now and all."

"Nice save."

He awkwardly laughed and scratched the back of his head, rolling over so he could face me.

"I see you kept all my shirts?"

I looked at him confused. He nodded his head towards my body and I looked down, my face growing red this time.

"Oh uh yeah, force of habit I guess. You can have them back if you want?"

He shook his head and smiled.

"Keep 'em. They look better on you anyways."

A blush found its way to my cheeks and he chuckled before turning around and shutting the light off. He turned to face me again and I leaned forward, kissing him on the cheek.

"Thank you."

I pulled away and he couldn't help but smile.

"For what?"

"Everything I guess."

I rolled away from him, facing the wall. I heard him sigh and I closed my eyes, ready to pass out at any given moment.

"Goodnight pop star."

Right before I let my dreams fully take me over, I heard a quiet I love you and arms wrapping around my waist, pulling me closer to them. I've never slept better.
