Part 18

The sun shining should've made me happy. The start of a new day should've brought a smile of joy on my face. But when I opened my eyes and was hit with the memories of Severon torturing me with snakes with a force of a tsunami, all I could think about was the most painful way to murder him. That boring ass bastard, who had no sense of color, actually stooped as low as to have me bitten by snakes. I would bring the wrath of my crayons upon his handsome face!

However, my murderous thoughts stopped short when I found myself being hooked to a couple of machines. One machine was beeping steadily, I guess it was monitoring my heart rate; or maybe not, since my heart beat was going crazy right now just planning Severon's murder and this thing was beeping steadily as if it had no care in the world. If it wasn't monitoring my heart rate, then what was it monitoring? The other machine was not a machine but an IV tube. I glared at my bandaged arm, mentally willing the needle to get out of my body.

When the door of my bedroom opened, I was fully prepared to launch my colorful vocabulary at Severon, but my jaw snapped close when I saw Renzo entering. He looked so cute in a yellow shirt and light blue jeans. My frowned turned into a smile as I saw him coming over to me.

"Hi Renzo. Where is your boss, I want to kill him," I said as a way of greeting.

"Severon will be here soon, don't worry." Renzo sat down next to me. "By the way, how do you plan to kill him?" He enquired, an amused smile on his face.

"Easy. I'll paint his room with neon colors! That would surely give him a heart attack severe enough to result in his demise. I want more paints." I told him, getting excited at the prospect of killing Severon by painting his room.

A look of horror crossed Renzo's features before he composed himself. "Yeah. I can't get you anymore paints. I'm so sorry, Kelsey. But after what happened last time, Ron has banned me from going anywhere and getting stuff for you," he said after he saw my face fall.

"But—But how am I suppose execute my plan without paints? Colors are the only thing that piss Severon off, and you are telling me you can't get paints for me." Now that was a problem I was not expecting. Severon's power and authority was once again interfering with my plans. I needed to think of something else, but what?

"Don't worry, you have plenty of time to think of another plan," Renzo replied.

"What?" I frowned. "What do you mean I have plenty of time? I do not have plenty of time because Severon is going to be here any minute and I have to be ready for him," I stated. I wished I had a suit of armor which I could wear to defend myself against Severon; that man was an animal.

"What I mean is, you are on bed rest, for I don't know how long, but until Severon gives the okay, I'm afraid you're not allowed to get out of bed," he informed me.

"I am going to stab him with a color pencil, I swear," I seethed. "Who gave him the right to decide when I will leave this stupid bed?! I am going to get out of this bed and no one is going to stop me," I said with conviction. I threw the duvet off me, but stopped when I saw my legs heavily bandaged. What in the sizzling hell happened to my legs?! The snakes didn't bite me too much that I would have both of my legs bandaged like I broke them.

"Uh the medical license gave him the right, Kelsey," Renzo answered.

"Wh—What happened to my legs?!" I shrieked in horror, staring at the white bandages that encased mg legs.

"The snakes bit you. So Ron took care of you. He bandaged your legs and your head, that's why he has the right to decide when you'll be allowed to get out of bed." Renzo told me.
