Part 14
"Come on, it's okay. Sit here." Renzo gently sat me down on the bed, before sitting next to me. I wrapped the bright yellow towel, that he had given me, tighter around myself, but even then, I could not stop my teeth from chattering.
"Wh—Why did he d—do th—that? I ca—can't sw—swim," I said, shivering from the cold.
When Severon left me all cold and wet on the sand, Renzo had come after a while, wrapped my wet and shivering body in a towel and brought me back to my room. He had been so gentle with me. I needed gentle.
After what Severon nearly did, I was terrified of him now. I realized now that Severon was a real monster, and I was starting to see exactly what he was capable of. I had no idea why he brought me here, but I did know that I wanted to leave, right now. I had to get out of here before Severon really killed me. If I didn't get out, the God knows what would happen to Maril.
"Would you like me to fill a warm bath for you? You look blue," Renzo asked softly, his eyes swimming with concern.
I shook my head. "No, no, ba—bath." After being nearly drowned, I was afraid to go in the water.
"Okay, how about some dry clothes, would you like that?" He eyed me anxiously.
"Yes please," I said, nodding my head.
Renzo got up and headed over to the closet. He pulled the doors open, before rummaging through the nearly crammed closet. "Severon got a lot of clothes for you, what would you like to wear?"
My heart skipped a beat at Renzo's words. Just how long was Severon planning to keep me here? I mean, he wouldn't have bought clothes enough to fill the closet if he wasn't planning to keep me here for a long time. Fuck my rainbow, I needed to get out of here, and fast.
"Something warm," I replied, trying not to let him know just how much his words freaked me out.
Renzo returned with a pair of black sweats with yellow ducks printed on them and placed the clothes beside me. I took the clothes and dragged myself to the bathroom. Stripping down, I removed my underwear and pulled on the warm, dry sweats. Leaving the wet clothes on the floor, I exited the bathroom. But when I saw Severon standing there next to Renzo, I nearly jumped out of my skin.
He looked the epitome of a Mafia boss. Right here, on this island, he looked to be in his element. And I knew I had been playing with fire all this time. I had provoked him, underestimated him, and now I was paying the price.
Severon gave me smile, a smile that was supposed to be reassuring, but only made me more afraid, before striding over to me. I wanted to slam the door and hide in the bathroom until he left; but I stayed rooted to my spot, and saw as he came closer and closer until he stood just a few centimeters from me.
"Farla qualcosa da mangiare, lei è pallida," Severon said to Renzo. (Get her something to eat, she is pale)
Without a word, Renzo left the room, leaving me alone with the snake. The sound of the door shutting had me snapping into action. Before Severon could take another step forward, I tried to shut the bathroom door in his face, but he wedged a foot in between, and pulled me out of the bathroom.
"No, no, let go! Let go!" I tried to break free from his grip, but he banded his arms securely around me, trapping me to him.
"Calm down, dandelion, I won't hurt you." Severon tried to calm me down, but it only had the opposite effect.
"No, no. You're going to kill me!" I was so busy trying to uselessly struggle against him, I failed to notice that Severon was slowly dragging me in the direction of the bed. It was only when he pushed me down roughly and climbed on top of me, did I realize I was in bed.
