Part 24

"And here is the library," Renzo said pointing at a set of wide double doors with golden knobs.

Renzo was giving me a tour of Severon's villa, and so far I had been nothing but impressed. Severon had taste when it came to designing his own villa. Renzo told me that Severon had hired an interior designer, but told her clearly what he wanted and what not; which was why I was impressed.

Once Severon led me back to the sandy part of the island, he kept me close to him, and strangely enough I was not repulsed by him. He had been incredibly sweet, and even though it made me suspicious of him, I could not help but enjoy the kindness he was so graciously bestowing upon me. So far, Severon had only caused me pain, and so this small slice of tenderness felt like a balm on my soul.

Then with another peck on my lips and forehead, he let me go. And that was exactly when Renzo showed up, taking me by surprise. I really needed to ask how they coordinated with each other, because I did not see Severon giving out a signal or anything while he was with me.

"Datele un giro di intero villa," Severon said to Renzo who nodded, before taking a hold of my wrist gently. (Give her a tour of the entire villa)

"Where are we going?" I asked Renzo, looking back and forth between Severon and him.

"You said you wanted a tour, right? Well I am going to give you one." Renzo smiled.

My eyes widened and I grinned. "Really? You'll give me a tour, of this entire place?" I really hoped he was not joking.

Renzo nodded while Severon smiled. "Yes Kelsey. I will."

"Oh. Can you show me the place where he." I pointed at Severon. "Conducts all his crazy experiments? Do I get to see his doctor room?"

Renzo looked at Severon, a silent conversation passing between them. It got so silent for a while, that I was starting to wonder whether or not they had lost the ability to speak. But before I could confirm my theory, Renzo spoke up.

"We'll see about that. Now come on, I've got lots to show you." He started to tug me along, but a sudden thought had me resisting.

"Wait. You said Severon would give me the tour of this place," I said to Renzo.

"And I would love to, dragonfly. Unfortunately I have some business to take care of," Severon replied, that adorable smile still on his face.

"Okay cool. Renzo, let's go. I can't wait to see this place," I stated. Maybe if Severon continued to be nice to me, I would put some color in this dreary place.

Without another word, Renzo took me away from Severon, my heart jumping with excitement. I wanted to see the whole villa for so long; except for that snake room. Oh no, I did not want to see that at all.

"I don't want to see the snake room." I told Renzo.

"Alright. I won't take you there." His response had my anxiety fleeing.

And so the next hour was spent with Renzo showing me around the whole villa, and what a beautiful villa it was. It had everything, except teddy bears. From the theater to the large indoor pool, there was nothing Severon didn't have, and I was jealous. I really liked that indoor pool, even though I thought it was kind of unnecessary, considering the fact that there was a beach right outside.

After an hour, we finally reached the library. Normally, I preferred watching movies instead of reading books, but for some strange reason, the library doors were beckoning me to open them as compared to the theater where I did not get this sort of an urge. My hand was itching to open the doors and step into a world of fantasy and words, but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to go in there.
