Part 39
"Hi! I'm Kelsey, nice to meet you." I held out my hand for the new girl to shake.Only, she did not take my hand, instead she eyed me bitterly, like she hated my presence over here.
She looked like a doll with straight black hair, striking blue eyes, and plump lips. She was pale, but not as pale as Maril, but pale nonetheless. Her cheeks had a bit of color to them, which made me wonder if it was make up or something happened to cause her to blush like that. Maril looked like a doll, but as I gazed upon this girl, I could see another doll staring back at me.
"Get away from me," she hissed.
Renzo's hand tightened on her wrist causing her to wince. "What did I say about behaving yourself?" He glared at the poor girl.
"Fuck you and your orders! I wish you rot in hell," she spat, turning her glare on Renzo.
Woah, this girl was fire.
She cried out when Renzo twisted her arm behind her back, pulling her close to his chest. He whispered something in her ear that had her blue eyes pooling with unshed tears; she looked scared.
"Renzo, go easy on her," Adone interjected.
"I'll do that when you'll do that," Renzo responded to him. "Now, behave yourself or you know what will happen to you," he said to the girl before releasing her abruptly, causing her to fall on her hands and knees.
"Why are you being so mean to her? What did she do?" I eyed my friend with disapproval before crouching down to the girl. She looked so weak, so breakable. I thought Renzo was a sweet guy, but I was starting to think differently as I looked at the girl who was trying hard not to cry.
"Severon, take Kelsey upstairs, I'll deal with Sadie," Renzo said to Severon.
"Her name is Sadie? What a pretty name." I smiled.
"Come on, dragonfly." I did not hear Severon come up to me. Gripping my arm, he hauled me to a standing position.
"No, I'm not tired yet. I want to talk to Sadie. And why are you not helping her?!" Severon paid no heed to my words, just dragged me out of the living room and up the spiral staircase.
"She belongs to Renzo. He will deal with her as he sees fit. You are tired so you will sleep. We will leave early morning. And before you go to sleep, you will eat something," Severon stated, taking a left turn.
"You are evil. You are suppose to help the poor girl. And I'm not hungry, why can't you understand that?" I whined.
"It's been hours since you've eaten, dandelion. You need food."
How could I tell him that the mere thought of food had me dry heaving? I was probably suffering from a stomach bug, but I did not want him to know that. He would go all doctor on me and I hated doctors; they were scary with sharp, pointy needles as their best friends.
"I'm really not hungry." I told him. I clutched his hand as the world spun once before righting itself. Fuck my chicken casseroles, what was happening to me.
"You look pale, and you are not sleeping until you have something in your stomach," Severon uttered, pushing the door and entering into a bedroom.
The bedroom was all masculine. Dark colors dominated the room, with a large bed against one wall, complete with nightstands on either side of the bed. It was the middle of the night, which meant that it was dark, but this room made the darkness even thicker.
"I'm not pale! Maril is pale. That girl down there is pale. Not me," I argued. I hated when people said I was pale.
"You look pale, my rainbow girl. Now sit here while I go and get something for you to eat." I watched Severon walk out of the room.
