The jokes in a comedic show is one of the most important things to entertain your viewers/readers/audience. There are different types of jokes like:
~Humorous jokes-Jokes that are said by characters no matter what situation they are in (a situation that they are in trouble).
~Dark comedy-Anything that revolves around death of a character or just plain violence used for dark comedy(On the picture).
~Insults-Jokes that are used by other characters to offend them by their appearance or just plain rude.
~Slapstick comedy-Anything just over the top just happens to a specific character that has either caused their demise.
~Surreal comedy-This is just to entertain audience by their bizarre juxtapositions, absurd situations, and nonsense logic(Exactly like Nichijou).
~Mean-spirited Comedy-These jokes are my least favourite as they are cruel to characters who do not deserve it and do the most unacceptable things ever. But to do this right make sure it does not effect other characters and make sure that the characters that deserved it did something wrong. But if they are good make sure they do not react to it one way or another and make sure it was a accident.
If you were to repeat a joke many times it would be more comedic if you chose it in a more different direction.Do not repeat the same times as you did it before I have seen it done in many different comedies.
