Now a-days when I think of horror movies the biggest problem is that the stories are predictable, boring and non-atmospheric. And the characters are not at all very interesting, gripping and not all that sympathetic. To make an intriguing story you have to:

1. Think further of your ideas and make up a concept that is smart and clever (example-Don't Breath).

2. To make the story not predictable add in the most least thought prediction for your story and just to note the entire audience does not have to be unexpected by this, some of them could've expected to happened and well as long your giving the audience what they want (follow this rule in any genre of story).

3. In order to do make a horror story or any story atmospheric you have to add in the right:

~Adjectives/Adverbs- Describing a place, person and/or object.

~Metaphor- A noun that is compared to another thing using 'as'.

~Simile- A noun that is compared to another thing using 'like'.

~Alliteration- A noun that described by another noun with the same letter. Example- 'Slithering snake.'

If you use these 3 steps correctly you can create a good horror story  that anyone can enjoy and might binge reading/watching if you add cliff hangers to any type of parts. And also don't use so much jump scares use it when others do not expect it.

NOTE: Sorry for not updating for so long!
