Good Demons & Bad Angels

A beauty queen of sixteen,

Who failed to keep herself clean,

She craved for coke, dope and paradise white,

All she ever wanted was to truly feel alive.

This lifestyle kept her on the edge,

The adrenaline she got on the verge of death,

She loved flirting with disaster,

For her there was no 'happily ever after'.

Tonight she was the centre of attention,

The pill made her feel like she entered another dimension,

She was on an important mission,

To break the hearts of boys without their permission.

The music flooded her ears,

She began hallucinating after three or four beers,

She reeked of alcohol and sweat,

Underage drinking was not her biggest regret.

Then the lonely boy in the corner eyes met with hers,

His eyes were flowing bright blue rivers,

He was drawn to her like a freak car accident,

They were the victims who were declared dead.

Before the lonely boy in the corner laid his eyes on perfection,

He had trouble with self infliction,

There were burns and scars to prove his suffering,

But he was on his way to recovering.

Never before had he fallen in love,

With anyone who was as peaceful as a dove,

In his eyes that girl was,

An angel sent from the heavens above.

He soon realized that looks were deceiving,

As the love of his life was caught cheating,

In the backseat of another lover’s car,

Kissing passionately between puffs of their cigars.

The angel he thought her to be,

Under her mask was the devil beneath,

If she was supposed to feel guilty there was none felt at all,

He swallowed the sleeping pills and alcohol as the memories of her began to dissolve.

The heartbroken boy died an untimely death,

The bad girl he had once loved fell depressed,

He had haunted her dreams and she always woke up crying,

He was a demon keeping her locked inside the hellish prison.

The guilt overwhelmed her and she took a razor,

She died on the bathroom floor fifteen minutes later,

As the boy ascended to heaven,

She descended into hell.
