Orange- this person is feeling a bit dare devilish and eager to try something new
"Come on Kyle!" I shouted, revving the engine to the motor bike.
One of my worst qualities was my lack of fear. And one of Kyle's few flaws was his overwhelming amount of it.
Even as a kid, I had no fears. Heights didn't phase me, spiders were just bugs, and clowns were just people in costume.
"Dan what if we crash?" He worried, standing on the side of the bike.
"I promise you we won't crash." I assured him, gently taking his hand. He accepted my hand, throwing his leg over the seat.
"Just hold onto me alright. I won't let you fall." I smiled, putting down the glass to my helmet.
And like that the engine roared to life and we took off down the empty road. The wind on my exposed skin felt amazing, the best feeling about riding the bike.
Kyle's arms were tightly gripping my chest, his helmet digging into my shoulder. But I didn't mind at all.
I still felt like an asshole for not sitting with him at lunch, and it had really been getting to me.
It was truly comical how much he made me think differently. Before him, I wouldn't think twice about giving somebody like Kyle a little roughing up. But now it's like he's made me see differently. And in not sure I like it.
I'm going soft.
"You ready?" I asked back, listening as he mumbled something like, "never."
I just laughed, accelerating. Without thinking I lifted up the front wheel of the bike, feeling as Kyle's grip tightened.
"Oh my god!" He shouted, laughs making it almost inaudible.
"Faster?" I shouted over the wind.
"Yeah!" He shouted back, his unzipped jacket flapping in the wind. And so I accelerated, the two of us riding through the deserted roads.

"Dan I felt so free. My heart was pounding, my palms were shaky, and my breath was in my chest, but I swear I've never felt more alive."That's what he told me when we arrived home. It made me happy to think maybe he had found something new.
But then again he made me happy.
