Jasper talks to Lapis for the first time after Steven saves her from corruption.

I hate the fact that I have to see her face everyday. I have to walk past her because both of us live together now. Why? Steven didn't want to keep her bubbled. Steven wants to help everyone but he can't just save someone like her. It irritates me just thinking about the things she did while we were in that fusion. The things I did while we were in that fusion.
The sound of crickets buzzing filled my ears as I looked up at the night sky. When I wasn't at the barn I would usually be on top of the tower close to the barn. People couldn't bother me while I was up here. Peridot would occasionally come over to see if I was okay but other than that not that many people visited me while I was up there. I prefer it like this anyway. My vision blurred as I was about to go into deep slumber.
Stomp. Crack.
My eyes shot open and glared at the scene below. Jasper was just standing there looking at me. I couldn't say anything. Goosebumps crept from below my skin while she stared at me. I've never seen her like this. It was something different about her.
"Lazuli" Jasper spoke softly
"What do you want from me Jasper I told you to leave me alone"
"I want forgiveness"
That is the difference. She finally accepted defeat.
"Jasper I don't want to fuse with you so leave me alone"
"I didn't come here for fusion, if I did what would I use it against"
It kind of makes me uneasy that she is acting like this. I'm not used to this submissive gem that wants to make peace. That still didn't blow out the hatred I had for her. She has a point though. If we did fuse what would she use it against. I have peace with the Crystal Gems and Peridot so she couldn't use it against them. While Homeworld is looking for Jasper I doubt that they are going to be coming anytime soon.
I sighed.
"Jasper, why should I forgive you"
"At least I'm trying to get along with you, have you forgot you side of things if you ask me the abuse was going both ways" She said with a tinge of bitterness to her voice
I can't argue with that. Even if she is helpless that won't stop her from getting a little sassy.
"Just give it time and I'll think about it"
"Oh my Diamonds, thank you for honesty and humbleness" She said with sarcasm
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME JASPER"
"I WANT IT TO BE NORMAL, I'M SICK OF YOU AVOIDING ME"
"WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO, JUST COME DOWN THERE AND SAY JASPER YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND"
"NO, BUT AT LEAST PUT AN EFFORT IN TO GET ALONG WITH ME"
"Then give me time to think instead of coming to me every hour asking for me to forgive you"
Jasper stared me in the face then walked away.
I can tell that she is really trying her best to get along with me but sometimes that don't work. You can't just force yourself onto people. I don't want to hate Jasper but I can't help but to hate her. She had such a negative impact on me, the feeling just ligers. Everything has changed yet I'm still in the past.
I can't believe that I am thinking about giving her an extra chance.
