Peridot accidentally fuses with Amethyst on a mission.

Everything happens so fast on this planet. One day your just meeting a quartz solider then the next you fuse with them. I remember all the details from how Amethyst's hand felt on me to the rush that came to my form after fusing with her. Though when we formed I saw a little too much of her whilst she saw too much me. Garnet always told me fusion was a symbol love and trust so how did Jasper and Lapis fuse? That question always rang in my head.
Footsteps intruded my ears. Focusing on the sound, I found that it came from the enterance of the barn. I leaned a little to find Amethyst frowning in front of the barn. She made eye contract with me so I jumped back.
"Peridot, I know your up in here"
I didn't answer her. I couldn't answer her.
The footsteps got closer to the box I was hiding behind. Sweat dripped down my face. When the footsteps stopped I knew it was over, I felt so scared it was ridiculous. I looked up to see Amethyst glaring at me.
"Why did you run away from me"
I still couldn't say anything.
"Now your giving me the silent treatment that's just classic"
"I didn't know what to do" I managed to squeeze out
Amethyst wasn't yelling which I was surprised about. Usually, she would yell about something to express it.
"I understand but next time just ask about it"
If it only was that easy.
"You had me worried for a second"
I know what she is talking about. Corruption is what she is talking about. Gems only fused for battle reasons not because of the emotional impact it had on you. How would she know you can corrupt from that?
"You don't always have to act all weird around me you know that right"
I stared down at the floor avoiding eye contact.
She is right. I can't help it though. It's hard not to get flustered around her. I've never seen a gem be intimidating and intoxicating at the same time. Sure Jasper try it all the time but she ends up failing at it.
I heard a thump before I was knocked out of concentration. Amethyst was sitting on the floor next to me. She was hugging her legs.
"Do I..scare you Peri"
"No" My voice cracked
My skin felt like the puddle of water Steven and I made for Lapis. I hated the fact that my voice would crack under pressure or if I was nervous.
"THEN WHY ARE YOU ACTING ALL WEIRD" Amethyst flung her arms in the air while yelling
That's the Amethyst I know.
"It's cause I never got to be this close with a quartz warrior" I swallowed hard
"YOU'RE LYING"
She saw right through me. Am I a transparent glass to her?
"Just talk to me, please"
There was that feeling again. She touched my arm. The feeling traveled through me. The tingling sensation grew all over my body. I can't hold this in any longer.
"Amethyst, you make me feel weird"
My pupils grew small.
There it was.
My friendship is gone.
Everything is gone.
I am gone.
Amethyst stared then gave me a toothy grin.
"That doesn't mean you have to act weird" She said playfully punching my shoulder
She's right.
