Nobody's POV (Narrator)
It's been 3 months since Tahja and Lalani met and started hanging out. They've grown closer together and is always hanging out. Tahj and Lani both secretly like each other but hasn't done anything about their feelings because Tahj doesn't want to mess up there friendship with her "hoes" and Lani has gotten back with Toni. Even though Toni still lives in South Carolina and Lani stays in Maryland they seem to make time for each other. Tahja doesn't agree on they're relationship because #1 He disrespected Lani that night #2 He doesn't like them hanging out with each other and last but not least #3 that's "Tahja" girl no matter what. Asher and Kenzie have started dating and they're just the cutest thing. Christopher still tries to talk to Kenzie but Asher shuts that down. Tahj loves her job at footlocker and be getting all the shoes and hooking Lani ,Asher ,her mom ,Kenzie and Lani's mom with all the shoes. When she's at work Lani picks Asher and Kenzie up and take them to Kenzie's house and then Tahj goes and get him when she gets off. Tahj mom still works night shifts and barely be home but Tahj helps pay most the bills. Tahj finally got her own car and Lani started her classes. Right now it's Saturday night and Asher was at a friends house ,Tahj just got off and was laying across Lani's bed ,and Lani was typing her paper.
"How was work Tahja" Lani said not looking up from her computer. Tahja rolled over and look at her "it was cool made a lit of sales. Met some new people." When Tahja said that Lani looked up at her "New people?" She said without trying to show her concern. "Yeah it was this jawn who came in there today trying to cop the new Js I hooked her up and she gave me her # you think I should text her." Tahj said kicking her shoes off and scooting beside Lani. "Oh how cute and idk do whatever." She said getting up and walking to her closet. Tahj scrunched up her face and sat up. "Best friend what's wrong?" She said watching Lani throw stuff around. "Nun Tahja just looking for my book." Tahja shook her head and stood up and pulled Lani to her "What's wrong Ma? Why tripping?" She said moving the hair out of Lani's face. "Nothing just tired and I came on today so I'm just irritated."she said looking down. "Well why you ain't just say that. Go lay down ima run to the store and pick you up some things and I'll be right back. And next time open your and say that don't be snapping ite?" Lani shook her head yeah and Tahja put her shoes and hoodie on and went to go pick up Lani's favorite things.
