Chapter 24

Lani POV...
My alarm went off and the sun shine through my window. I rolled over and turned off that annoying ass alarm. I picked my phone up and scrolled down my notifications. I had 5 unread messages 2 from Toni 1 from Jasmine and 2 from Best friend . I opened Toni's first to see what was going on since he would be coming into town today. "Good Morning beautiful 🌸" " We're in VA almost there wake up babe😩" I quickly replied letting him know I was up and was anxious to see him. I then looked over Tahja messages saying she was working today and wasn't getting off til 8 tonight and to see if I could pick Asher up and take him to Kenzie's house. I told her it wouldn't be a problem and that I would stop pass to see her when I drop Asher off. Last but not least I read Jassy message and it was shocking to find out she was moving but everything happens for a reason I let her know I enjoyed her company and this wouldn't be the last time we cross paths. Since I had a busy day ahead of me I got up and went to my closet to pick out my outfit. I choose my red  PINK jogging with my wheat DCs. I kept my hair pinned up in the rollers so I wouldn't mess up my hair for tonight. I took my shower and got dress I didn't want to wear any make up so I just threw in my glasses
instead of my contacts. I guess you can say I was going for a natural look. I grabbed my keys and made my way down stairs and didn't see my mom but it was a note "Buenos Dias Chica I went out with the girls you slept pretty late so I figure you were tired didn't want to wake you be home later love you be safe mami😘" I smiled at the note I'm glad my mom met some friends made this move was for the best. I look at the time it was 1 in the afternoon I went to go buy balloons and things for tonight to go in the room just to kill time. When I was done running around store to store it was going on 3 so I made my way to Tahja's house to get Asher. I made it there by 3:30. I got out the car and made my way up the steps I rung the door bell and waited for it to open. After a few seconds Tahja's mom came to the door with her uniform on. "Heeey baby I haven't seen you in awhile."she said giving me a hug. I met Tahja's mom few months back I had to drop Tahja off from work one night and every since then we've been close . She was very pretty and nice. "Heey mama. You look good today like always" I said as we made our way to the kitchen. "Oh child this nothing I thanks for taking Asher for me. I didn't know they was going to call me in early."she said putting an apple in her lunch box. "You know I don't mind I love Asher like my little brother." I said shrugging. I really didn't mind picking Asher up he was good company and a cool kid. He came downstairs dressed and ready to go . He gave his mom a hug and kiss and we all left the house as she locked the door behind us. After I made sure Ash was buckled up we made our way to Kenzie house. We stop by McDonalds to grab a bite. After we ate I dropped him off and went to the the hotel to get the room ready and decorated. It was now going on 5 and Toni text me telling me he was  15 minutes away. I took a quick shower then slipped into my black dress and boots then unpinned my hair and let my curls drop. By the time I was done there was a knock on the hotel room door. I looked at myself on last time in the mirror than answered the door. "Baaaaby" I said jumping on him knocking the bags out his hands. I missed him so much man and he was finer than I remember him to be. After our little reunion we came into the room and he introduced me to his friends. There was a boy name Josh and a girl name Kaci. Josh seem nice but Kaci wasn't such a big of me. Every once in awhile I'd catch her mugging me but I paid it no mind. After we all talked awhile Josh and Kaci went to their rooms to get freshened up. Toni was in the shower while I was waiting for Tahja to get here. After about 15 minutes Toni was out and dressed in a gray polo suit with his wheat DCs. We took a few pictures and I posted one on Instagram captioning it "Reunited and it feels so good❤️👫" we immediately got likes and comments. Most were congratulations and some were confused because they thought Tahja was my gf but I've told my followers many of times that was my best friend. There was a knock on the door I went to go get it and there stood my best friend. "Heey best friend " I said giving her a hug. "Heey small fry" she said following me into the room. I turned and looked over her outfit she had in a plaited red and black button down polo shirt with her black paints and black tombs I bought her when I lost a bet. She had her long dreads down . She looked good when we got to where Toni was I introduced them. "Toni this Tahja my best friend and Tahja this is Toni my boyfriend " I said that last word a little . "Wassup" Tahja said nodding her. "Wassup" Toni replied dryly. I looked down at my boots because it was now awkward. There was a knock at the which broke the silence. I hurried and got it and was glad to Josh and Kaci . They came back to where Toni and Tahja had been standing glaring at each other. "Kaci and Josh this Tahja my best friend Tahja this is Kaci and Josh Toni's friend " Josh shook her hand and Kaci licked her lips and spoke. When she did that Tahja smirked which cause me to roll my eyes. "Soooo you guys want to grab something to eat and grab a movie or shop and look around the mall" I said trying to make things less disturbing. They agree and we headed out on our way to Hooters. Me and Toni drove in my car while Kaci and Josh drove with Tahja.
