Lani's POV....
I know what y'all think. "How can I get back with Toni" "How can I kind sorta have feelings for Tahja" "Why do I think it's okay to get jealous when Tahja meets new girls" well dammit idk I just can sheesh. I love Toni we were together for a long time and that night he said those things was the first time he ever said something like that so I forgave him.  I know some people aren't big fans of long distance relationships but it's not y'all problem now is it. **rolls eyes** I know Tahja isn't a big fan of our relationship and as my best friend I get it and the way she handles it is good. She never flips out or makes smart comments when me and him are otp and when I need to talk to her about him she listens without judging and that's why I've grown to love Tahja as a person yeah she comes off as closed in and mean but Tahja is a sweet heart and that's why she's my baby😏I was sitting waiting for Tahja to get back when my phone started to ring... I picked it up and it was a FaceTime from Toni. I hurried and fixed my hair and answered....
FaceTime call...
Toni: Heey baby
Me: Heey babe wyd
Toni: Just cane from celebrating our win
Me: Congratulations I know you did your thing out there
Toni: you already know baby
Me: how was your day
Toni: tiring I thought about you all day

He said licking his lips. He knew what that did to me. Being in a long distance relationship came with flaws not being able to be with your Partner physically was the worse.

Me: is that right well I've been missing you too babe.. I been so exhausted and not feeling good
Toni: not feeling good? What's wrong nuni(pronounced >newni)

I loved when he called me by nickname he gave me when we first met see I was new to the school where I met Toni at and since everybody called me Lani for short he settled on "New"ni

Me:it's that time of the month and these cramps are killing me
Toni: my poor baby I wish I was there to take care of you
Me: yeah me too I miss you so much babe
Toni:I miss you more 😘 where your little "best friend" at
Me: **rolls eyes** don't start she went to go get me a few things speaking of her she's back
Toni: why y'all always together for
Me: Toni we've talked about this now cut it out
Toni: w.e man bye
Me: but ton-
FaceTime Ends

Before I could get my words out he hung up. I sighed and put my phone back on the charger. As I was about to get started back in my paper Tahja walked in. "Here you go Lani" she said handing me the bag. Something was wrong normally she would call me best friend and she only called me Lani if she was upset with me or something was bothering her. And if she was mad she would use my whole government. "Best friend what's wrong " I asked looking at her. "Nothing but I'm going to head out ight?"she said standing at the end of the bed. That just clarified something was wrong because when I came on Tahja would always spend the night the first night with me.😔 don't judge it was our thing. I walked on my knees on the bed to stand in front of her  "Simba what's wrong?" I asked pouting and holding on to her waistline. "Nun Lani just getting tired so ima go head and head out ma" she said removing my arms from her waistline making raise head from her chest. "Okay well your going to call me before you go to bed right?" I said trying not to sound sad "yeah ig idky" she said nonchalantly. I sat criss cross applesauce on the bed and watched as she got ready to leave. "Love you Simba" I said when she got to my door. She looked back and shook her head " Like you a lot Lani" and then disappeared into the hallway and out the front door. I know some of y'all are wondering why I call her Simba and when I told her I loved her she didn't say it back she said like you. Well #1 Lion King is her favorite movie and one day when we were watching it she kept saying she was Simba and #2 Tahja is not the type for all that mushy shit she made that clear when I tried to watch a girly movie so her way of saying "Love you"  is "Like you a lot" you might not get it but it makes since to me. I looked out my window and watched her pull off I sighed then put my work up I don't think I'm in the mood anymore. I got in bed and look through the bad she brought back. It had 2 snickers ,hot cheetos puffs ,2 rice crispy treat ,and a blue Fanta. I smiled and picked up my phone and sent a quick message telling her "thanks☺️😘"
