Hello everyone, I am so sorry for not updating in nearly two months. Please forgive me. I fear that I will still not be able to update as regularly but I'm hoping a new story *wink wink* might be able to help with getting me on Wattpad more often.

Thanks, and I hope you all are having a great holiday season :D

Oh, the reality of a fanfiction writer *sigh* Let's do this.

"Ugh, Georgie, why are you even here?" Jean groaned, shifting around in his maneuver gear to get a better look at me.

"You know why," I said with the same lack of enthusiasm. Jean was on window-cleaning duty as punishment for nearly destroying the whole building with his and Eren's ridiculous drop-kicking competition.

"Well, yeah," he replied, "but could you make your prescence a bit more, ya know, interesting?"

I swung back and forth, kicking myself off the side of the stone building, my 3DMG keeping me suspended, "And what is that supposed to mean?"

"You've been so boring lately," Jean groaned again. Me? Boring? I've just been doing my job.

"Listen, I know cleaning windows is such a tedious and strenuous task for you, seeing as you have the attention span of a walnut, but you don't have to take that out on me," I defended.

"Ah, Georgie," he sighed, "So much potential. Yet so little sense in that innocent, sheltered mind of yours."

"Mind being a little less crypti--HEY!!!" I was mid-sentence when Jean quickly swung over to me and disabled my gear. I had no idea how he did it, but my cables instantly reeled back in and I was thirty feet in the air. My eyes widened, looking down at the ground.

Jean grasped onto my wrists to keep me from falling. If he even for a moment thought he was being heroic, he had another thing coming.

"Jean! What are you doing!?" I screamed at him from above me. He started swinging back and forth.

"See, isn't this fun!?" He yelled over the wind roaring in my ears.

"Not even a little bit, let go of me!!"

"As you wish!"

And like that, I was soaring through the air. I would be lying if I said it wasn't exhilerating. I wasn't scared. I had leapt from such heights before but I had never flown like that. Everything around me fell silent. It was just me, the sky, and the world below me.

My body fell rapidly back toward the earth but my mind, however, was still flying. Nonetheless, I positioned my body and grabbed the controls on my gear, ready to propel myself upward as to not end up splattered flat on the ground. But before I could release my cables, I felt arms wrap around my waist from behind me. My boots barely scraped the ground as Jean and I rocketed into the sky once more. I relaxed into his embrace, somehow knowing he wouldn't send me off into the air again alone. And if he did, he would catch me again.

"Amazing, right?" His lips brushed lightly against my ear.

I looked him and smiled gently, "Yes..."

We landed safely back on the ground, but it seemed we were far from safe when we saw that Levi was waiting for us with his arms crossed over his chest.

"You had one job, Georgie," Levi scolded, "One job. I could've put you on dish duty. I could've put you on laundry duty. But no! I put you in charge of making sure this dim-wit did his chores, and what do you do? You go and have an airborne love affair with him!"

I look at Jean whose face was growing more and more red by the second and sputtering out, "T-That's not-- w-we were just--"

"Nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun, Corporal," I grinned.
