One month later...
Skylar's POV.
Today was just another boring day, a Monday actually, about to get ready for school. Honestly, I find Monday's pointless and they are really boring when it comes to waking up so early for school or work. I'd much rather have school three days a week. That would be a lot better for me.
I take a shower and wash my hair. By the time I get out, I blow dry it and apply makeup- enough but not too much. I pull out my new casual dress from my closest that I got a few weeks ago from Macy's. Thank God there was a sale and was between a fifty-to-ninety percent off. Who doesn't love sales? I apply light curls on the ends of my hair and pull my dress over my head and down my body. The neckline is not too high up and stops just above my breasts. The bottom of it was like a skirt and not tight on my thighs at all. It is perfect.
I need to go out for a jog someday to get my workout in progress. I'll have to put that in my calendar or something and go out for a jog with my dad. The thought of jogging around in the city with my father makes me smile.
I grab my bag and head out the door and down the stairs. When I arrive in the kitchen, I am not surprised seeing Angel talking to my dad across the kitchen counter exchanging laughs and smiles while talking about last weekend's football game. This was an every week thing of Angel coming over just to take me to school. My dad looks away and locks his eyes on my own breaking their conversation. His smile brightens.
"Good morning, daughter," he beams up at me as I walk over to the two men who I love so much.
"Good morning, father." I am given a sweet kiss on my forehead from my dad before walking beside Angel, taking in his arms wrapped around me.
"Morning princess," Angel whispers in my ear and my heart beats rapidly. God, he's adorable. My cheeks are hurting so bad from smiling too much and it's not even seven yet.
"Alright guys, have a good day at school. I know how much you hate Monday's, Sky." He tells me and I groan.
"Don't even mention it." I sigh and adjust my bag over my shoulder. "Oh, did you hear back from the police or anything about the accident?" I ask him. The updates we have been receiving from the police department claims that they will be doing further investigation and haven't found anything. Honestly, they're really sucking ass and doing a horrible job because they still can't find the person who ran into my father's car. I meant what I said that they are gonna pay for all the damages they have done. Literally. Most people who report emergencies, the people find out more than police do sometimes. However, it really just depends. Nobody ever knows.
"No, honey, not yet." He frowns. Regardless of the fact that I'm mad and upset they haven't found anything, I'm glad my father is back on his feet again and doesn't have to take that much medication within a day. He only has to take two every day, one in the morning and one at night.
"Okay," I can't take this anymore. When I look at Angel, he is looking down at his feet, a frown forming onto his face as well.
"We'll see you later, John. Have a great day." My prince tells him before holding the door for me and allowing me to leave the house before him. As Angel and I settle ourselves into our seats and I put my seatbelt on, I turn around and catch that beautiful smile I adore so much for these past few weeks.
"What?" I giggle.
He reaches over behind the passenger seat and grabs ahold of a white bag with some ruffled paper on top and a card sticking out. He hands it to me and places it onto my lap. He then speaks up. "Happy one month, babe."
"Angel!" I gasp and throw the paper out of the bag revealing what's in the bottom. "I have your gift in my room but I was gonna give it to you this weekend," I exclaimed.
"I was gonna give mine to you Saturday but I thought it'd be better today cause today actually marks our one month anniversary." He tells me and the smile on his face still hasn't disappeared. I give him one last glance before revealing what he got me. There is a rectangular box, along with sour patch kids, a little stuffed brown bear that says "I love you beary much," a card and small roses in the bottom. I open the rectangular box first and I immediately gasped at the look of the shining material.
There, in my hand, was a silver necklace that is carved with his name on it in cursive. Oh my... I cannot breathe. Before I realize, my cheeks are stained with my tears. This is the best gift I have ever received. I look at Angel once again and reach over and wrap my arms around his neck, embracing him for a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love it so much," the tears continue to fall down my cheeks. I kiss his forehead and cheeks multiple times before he wipes my tears away with his thumbs. They're only tears of joy.
"I knew you would. Let me put it on for you," he suggests and takes the jewelry out the box. I turn away from him to pull my hair up, exposing the back of my neck to him as he places the necklace onto my neck. When it hits my chest, I can't help but glance at his beautiful name carved onto the material.
"It's beautiful, baby." I tell him and he kisses my cheek again before encouraging me to continue seeing what's inside. I pull out the card and come to think of it, it is a gift card with fifty dollars in it. His writing is written all over the card that says: Happy one month my beautiful Princess!! I am so thankful to have you in my life. It wouldn't be complete if it weren't for you being in it and I am so glad to have a beautiful girlfriend like you to be in my life and spend the rest of your time with me. You are everything to me and I hope we continue being together and going through this journey of our beautiful, outstanding relationship. I will always love you and make you happy no matter what. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love you so much, Skylar Marie Taylor! I will love you forever. From your Prince, Angel <3"
"This is so beautiful. I can't tell you how much I love it. You had to make me cry before school starts?" I ask him, laughing. He joins with me to and we spend a few minutes talking and kissing. He pulls out of the neighborhood and drives down onto the Main Street. Jesus, there's so much traffic.
"I think we should do something special tonight. And I'm taking you out to dinner this weekend, no excuses," he smiles and places his hand on my bare thigh.
"What is it that you think we should do tonight?" I curiously asked him and catch the smirk off his beautiful space.
"What do you think?" He squeezes his hand on my thigh and I can't stop my legs from pressing against one another. The first time we had sex with one another was literally a month ago and was the only time we did. We wanted to wait until our one month anniversary came and then later on, continue doing it when we feel comfortable.
"I think that's a good idea and I'm all for it." I tell him and lean in to kiss his cheek, lingering there for a few seconds before nibbling in his ear. I hear him groan.
"My house or yours?" He asks, he is already panting and practically out of breath. I find myself doing the same, too.
"Yours," I whisper in his ear and grab his ear lobe. He grips my thigh once again.
"You got it, babe." And with that, he steps on the gas as his car accelerates passed the slow cars in traffic, wasting no time to get school as I give him a hand job while driving. Time flies as he parks at the school's parking lot before we can comprehend. He unbuckles his seatbelt and we make out for a good ten minutes in his car. Today is going to be a great day. I can feel it.
**
Hey, not going to lie or anything, but while I was writing this chapter, my heart ached so much because this is the type of love in a relationship that I love so much. I find it so inspiring that love is such a beautiful thing and anything you do for the person you love, you always manage to make them happy or anything you can POSSIBLY do to provide them of how much you care about them. That's why love is such a beautiful thing. Anyway lol! I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. I will be updating soon!
Yours truly,
Brianna
