I rummaged through the kitchen cabinets, searching for anything the kitten could consume. I heard Sasuke-Kun walking down the steps and spoke to him while still searching.

"He's hungry and I can't find anything to feed him."

He began rummaging in his pouch and found a piece of bread. He placed it in front of the kitten and it began eating, not having to be told to do so.

"We need to go buy food for us as well." I told Sasuke-Kun.

"Yeah we'll do that." He spoke sounding sad.

"Are you okay? You sound sad."

"I just had a dream.." He trailed off

"Want to talk about it?" I asked worriedly.

"You and I had a son together. We were always busy, making sure to be able to provide the best for him. You were always exhausted from your missions and having to take care of him. You'd make sure he behaved at my parent's home when you'd drop him off and that he always ate his meals properly. His voice was the cutest thing I heard in my dream. The way it sounded so small and depended so much on you. He was the cutest thing in the whole world. It was just a pang to my heart to wake up and see he didn't exist." He sounded pained and I felt the tears rolling down my cheeks.

"A baby..promise me..you'll give me one."

He looked up at me with tears that threatened to leave his eyes and saw my heartbroken image. He hurriedly stepped forward and pulled me into him. I cried into his shoulder as he rubbed my back soothingly.

Hearing his dream made me feel as if we had lost our child. As if just yesterday he called for me and today he had left us behind.

"I promise you Kyoko. I swear to you I will make you my wife and we'll have a family of our own."

His words reassured me and I felt at ease. After I calmed down we headed to a nearby village to purchase food and any other items we'd need. We returned with a lot of things and had difficulty opening the door. To our return we realized the kitten was gone, after we called and searched for it.

Sasuke-Kun began to place the candles in the small cases we bought for them as I unpacked all the food we had purchased. He had also convinced me purchasing new sheets for the bed would be like sleeping in a different one so we wouldn't sleep on the floor. The idea of having new bed sheets did slightly relieve me from the fear of sleeping on the bed.

Once all the food was where it belonged I headed upstairs to change the bed sheets. While I changed the sheets, I looked around and found a book titled Life's Destiny, it was written by the man who's books adorned the library, Akinobu Sato.

The title sounds interesting and it gives me a feeling of sadness. I'm sure it's a great book. I headed downstairs with the book in hands and sat down, ready to read. My surroundings were immediately forgotten as I was lost in the first few pages of the book.

"Kyoko." Called Sasuke-Kun

I looked up and his face showed slight anger.

"I have been trying to get your attention."

I didn't reply waiting for him to say what he needed to.

He sighed, "I'm heading out."

"Where?"

"To Orochimaru. He should be back by now. I may be gone for a few days. Think you can handle it?"

"Of course I can. I've been alone for much longer."

I placed the book on the coffee table and headed over to him. I adjusted his cloak and handed him the weapons he had previously been cleaning.

"Stay safe. I'll be waiting for you to return."

He nodded his head and placed a soft and passionate kiss on my lips before leaving the house. I watched him go, from the doorway, until I couldn't see him any longer.

Sasuke P.O.V

I could feel Kyoko seeing me off from the house. A feeling of happiness was brought to me at her actions.

I can't help but feel uneasy at the same time. As if within moments everything we have together will tear apart.

I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath, clearing my thoughts. I need to focus on the current situation. Orochimaru has to be removed.

An hour later, I arrived at the hideout with a plan set for Kyoko's absence.

"Where's Kyoko?"

"Kyoko is in another location. After you left we caught wind of a lead the Leaf Shinobi had to our location. Kyoko felt it wouldn't be safe for us to remain here therefore she took us to a further and hidden location. There she's been training me. I offered to come notify you of this."

"Very well then. How much longer do you think you'll be there?"

"I'm not sure. She's investigating how close and accurate the lead is therefore I wouldn't know an exact time."

"In that case I believe her decision is the best. Remain hidden until she says otherwise and come up with a way to notify me of any occurrences."

"I'll discuss that with her. For the meantime she told me to remain here for a week and return to the location we reside in after so."

Orochimaru nodded in understanding and left the room. He believed the lie, now there won't be any suspicion and his assassination will become easier.

Six days have passed, and from what I heard Orochimaru is on a time limit, he must find his vessel as soon as he can in order to be prepared for the transition. A time like this is when I must be prepared to attack. According to Kabuto the vessel must be found within a month. Orochimaru hopes that by that time Kyoko is available to suggest a vessel for him, but I must plan something that will sabotage that plan.

I have all the required information. Now I'll return to Kyoko.

I packed all of Kyoko's belongings in a bag big enough for them and headed out. I returned to the place Kyoko and I had declared as our house, making sure no one followed. I sprinted back, hoping to arrive as soon as possible.

I need Kyoko right now. We didn't have the opportunity to use what I purchased a while back and I know for certain it will be even more rare in the near future.

In half an hour I arrived to the front door, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. I turned the doorknob and realized it was locked.

I softly knocked and the door opened to reveal the beautiful woman with her long fluttering eyelashes and beautiful scarlet red eyes. Her long flowing raven colored hair blew back with the cold wind that entered the warm house causing her to shiver. Her face immediately lit in happiness and she threw herself onto me.

She pulled me into the warmth of the home and hugged me again, this time kissing me as well.

"I missed you." She pouted. "After you left I remembered we didn't get the chance to use the condoms you bought."

I laughed at her comment and answered, "I remembered the same thing. That's why I returned in a hurry."

She smiled and I threw the bag onto a couch in the corner and let her lead me upstairs into the main room where she locked it's door.
