Chapter 32: You must fight

Angrily Lady Tsunade hits Kyoko's chest repeatedly. Shizune attempts to pull her away with the help of Naruto.

"Kyoko fight! I know you're in there! Fight against it! Fight for a different life!"

Lady Tsunade struggled to release herself to try performing CPR again.

Kyoko sat up suddenly with a loud gasp for air followed by a coughing fit. Lady Tsunade released a breath of relief as Kyoko turns her attention to everyone in the room.

She doesn't say anything as she is breathing heavily. She meets eyes with Lady Tsunade before bowing her head.

"Thank you."

Lady Tsunade smiles as she steps forward. She pulls Kyoko's head against herself, rubbing the back of her head soothingly.

"Get some rest."

She forces everyone out of the room, leaving only the doctors.

"Granny Tsunade, isn't that the girl I told you we saw with Sasuke?"

She nodded her head.

"What is she doing here?" He began, angrily.

Lady Tsunade explained everything to him. Naruto's expression fell as he understood her and felt sorry for her.

"So Sasuke doesn't know where she is?"

"Apparently not."

"I just saw him." He said, "If I would've known, I would've told him she was here."

Lady Tsunade nodded.

"When she gets better, can I talk to her?"

Lady Tsunade nodded again as she authorized for him to visit her if he wanted.

Sometime later, Kyoko was doing better. She was better stabilized and was receiving help walking again.

Naruto appeared at the hospital to visit her when he was told she was outside. He made his way to her and saw how she was getting frustrated as she was receiving help walking.

"I can't." She sighed, "I can't do it."

The doctor carried her back to her wheelchair as her expression was saddened. Naruto jogged to her and lifted her up, putting one of her arms over his shoulder.

"One more time. Don't give up."

Kyoko was startled by his sudden action as she turned to look at him. He held confidence and was determined.

She turned to look ahead as she tried once more. Her legs were heavy but she tried her hardest to get them to comply. Slowly, she was beginning to walk.

She was absolutely happy and smiled wider than ever before.

"I did it!" She excitedly turned to Naruto.

He chuckled as he nodded.

I didn't know she could smile like this. He told himself, having only seen her bad side in the past.

She looked different though, that's why he couldn't identify her at first.

He walked her back to the wheelchair and crouched to her height.

"You have to be confident in yourself. I'm sure Sasuke would tell you that as well."

Her visible eye widened as she better analyzed him.

"Are you that boy that always went after him?"

He chuckled, "That's me."

He no longer wore his bright orange clothing, wearing black and orange, an orange not too bright.
