Kyoko gazed at the boy and moved forward without acknowledging him. The boy followed her, but she tried her best to ignore him. Kyoko came upon her neighbor and asked a question she has been seeking an answer to.
"Ah, Kou-Sama, have you seen Sensei?" She asked an elderly woman.
"She was here a few days ago, but it seems whatever was keeping her back was resolved."
"What do you mean?"
"When we die unexpectedly, our soul roams the earth hoping to get whatever matters that keep us behind, done. Your Sensei for example, wandered the earth because she left you unexpectedly. As always she worried for your well being, but it seems you somehow came into contact with her and showed her you were perfectly fine."
"I see, so her soul has passed on?"
"Yes, but tell me darling why are you here? Has your time in the land of the living finished?"
"No, I'm not dead yet. I just somehow found a way to enter this place."
"Maybe it's a gift. A Kekkei Genkai."
"Possibly, I still need to learn more about it though. Say, Kou-Sama, do you know of any place I can visit Sensei?"
"I'm afraid not my dear child. It's believed that when our soul passes, our gravestone becomes one more in the graveyard in the land of the living. I cannot verify that though."
"No need to, I can have a look myself. Thanks for the help Kou-Sama. Oh and find your way to eternal peace would ya? I'd like for you to finally rest."
"I will darling and please be careful next time you enter the land of the dead. There are malicious beings that will kill you if you're found."
Kyoko nodded in agreement before parting ways with her neighbor. The boy that had been following her ran up to walk beside her.
"Kyoko, who was that?"
"How do you know my name?"
Sasuke was dumbfounded by her reply, he found himself unable to answer.
"What do you mean? Are you still mad?"
"I don't understand you. I apologize, but I have to figure out how to get out of here. It was nice talking to you."
Kyoko proceeded to walk ahead, leaving Sasuke behind. Sasuke ran up behind her and stopped when she did. She looked around and so did he. While looking around, he saw his reflection against a window. He was in utter shock to see his image of a child reflected against the window.
'Thats right.' He thought to himself. 'This is the reason Kyoko doesn't recognize me. She's never seen me as a child.'
He turned to Kyoko, proud of his discovery, only to see her halfway down the path. He ran behind her hoping to not be left behind.
"Kyoko.." He panted once he caught up. "Kyoko, it's me Sasuke."
Kyoko looked at the boy in surprise before turning him in all directions hoping to find solid proof.
"I don't believe you."
"What can I do to prove it then?"
"I don't know. Something only the real Sasuke can."
Sasuke was in deep thought before he stated a fact.
"I call you Kitten."
Kyoko's face turned red because of what he chose to prove his identity with. That pet name is usually only used when he's showing his utter affection during intimate moments.
