Chapter 42: Freed

"Sasuke," his mother smiled, "welcome home dear."

His gaze was stern, alike the one his father previously held. His lips slightly curved up into a smile before dropping once he met his eyes with mine.

"Itachi brought your girlfriend, it was about time we met her. I don't see what took you so long. She's so lovely." His mother continued.

Just by his gaze I could feel that his blood was boiling.

He looked up at his father, whom smiled.

"She isn't an Uchiha therefore I didn't know if she would be accepted."

"That doesn't matter." His mother immediately spoke. "She's so pretty."

He downcast his eyes.

"We've taught you better than this," his father began, "don't act as if she's not here."

"Oh, no, it's fine." I immediately protested. "He probably had a rough time. I don't blame him."

Itachi slightly nudged his brother forward.

"Go shower, you stink."

Sasuke looked over at him before putting an arm around him. Itachi started complaining and telling him to get off him as everyone began to laugh.

This isn't real. As much as I wish, these two never went through what they did, it just isn't real.

A tear streamed down my face as the happy family smiled and laughed. Sasuke looked up at me with the brightest smile he has ever shown, causing for my chest to hurt.

As much as it hurts me to admit it, Sasuke-kun has never smiled like this.

Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Itachi and Obito have been moving from dimension to dimension at the cause of the mother of chakra, Kaguya.

They are fighting to seal her back after Madara and black Zetsu had summoned her.

Everyone is trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, living dreams that bring out their utmost desires. Living dreams they know will never happen.

Naruto and Sasuke were fighting as the others helped in whatever ways they could, they had developed a plan that was ready when Sasuke was separated into another dimension.

Obito informed them he may know how to retrieve Sasuke, telling Sakura and Naruto to join him.

Kakashi and Itachi stayed behind with all the other clones Naruto had created.

After several attempts and the entrance to a few dimensions, Sasuke was back with them and they returned to the snow dimension.

Angered, Kaguya teleported everyone to another dimension in which moving was difficult.

Kaguya was ready to hit Naruto and Sasuke with rods that would instantly kill them when Kakashi and Obito jumped forward. Obito used his kamui so that the rod wouldn't hit Kakashi.

"Don't rush to follow us."

Slowly Obito was disappearing as Naruto angrily tried to get him to continue living.

Obito ordered Naruto to be sure he seals Kaguya back. He slowly disappeared, leaving them to face Kaguya alone.

They were teleported back to the acid dimension where Kakashi had gained both of Obito's sharingan eyes. Kakashi and Itachi both brought out their Susanoo.

Sakura was with Kakashi as everyone worked on a plan. Once it was developed and well planned, they all lunged for it.

Naruto and Sasuke had Kaguya in the position to seal her back when she started moving up to avoid them, having forgotten of the Sakura that rained down on her.
