I drove along the chain of inconsistent highways and I wondered, how could my life have turned to shit so quickly? I mean where did I go wrong? My mother's words pushed themselves into my head and echoed, "Rina dear, I won't have a loser laying around on my couch." What a bitch right? Honestly I had planned on staying for quite a while so she was partially correct. But that still doesn't mean you shun your daughter for a mistake from high school. Since I'm in a bitter mood already why not a flashback... My boyfriend Carter and I moved in together after high school and my parents were pissed. I guess they figured that if we lived together we were screwing each other. That wasn't entirely the case. We were in college so we went to quite a few parties. But one day I came home after late classes and seen this pompous blonde slut riding Carter like a mechanical bull. So now I'm here. Five minutes away from my new home, and hopefully my new life here in New York City, the Big Apple. We'll just see how much my asshole parents like to be shunned.

I pull up to my new building. My apartment is on the sixth floor. Now that usually wouldn't be so bad, but since I'm a loner I can only afford a "slightly up-kept" apartment, so there aren't any elevators. So that means multiple trips. I grabbed as many of my bags as my poor muscles could handle and made my way up the twelve flights of stairs. There were so many people just sitting around who could have helped me but nope. They just remained on their lazy rumps as me, the poor passerby, walked through each lobby/landing for each staircase. Finally I got my last load up to the eleventh staircase and some guy comes flying around the corner and knocks everything out of my hands.

"Whoops, shit man I'm sorry."

He said.

I sighed

"Oh yeah, I'm sure you are."

"Ooh, is there sarcasm? Tell me, why so bitter my lady?"

He asked.

I started gathering my things in a huff.

"Geez, here at least let me help you."

"In all honesty I'd rather you not."

I told him.

"In all honesty I don't care it's happening anyway."

That made me smirk and accept his help.

"I hope you sense my reluctance."

I said.

"Yep, sure do."

We made it up to my door and I opened it for him. He stepped through the threshold.

"So uh, where do you want me to put all of this?"

I pointed to the soon-to-be bedroom.

"In there is good."

He smiled widely.

"We'll trust me hon I'm all about moving quickly but we've only known each other for seven minutes."

I shuttered at the thought of even coming closer than a good two feet to this guy.

"Oh I do suppose it is a little fast isn't it?" I mocked. "Can you just set it all down and get out?"

He chuckled and raised his hands, faking defeat.

"I'm gone doll."

I shut the door behind him, hearing his chuckling all the way down to the end of the hall.

"What an annoying person." I thought aloud.

I started pulling stuff out of boxes and organizing most things. I'll have to do some shopping before I start work in a few days. I got in as a high school art teacher at the school like twenty blocks away. I finally got done organizing what I can for now, it's like 10:00 pm. So, I decided to relax a little. After dance cleaning I'm a bit exhausted. The second I turned on my movie I heard loud laughter in the hallway, followed by loud music from across the hall. I gave up on the movie and just went to bed, plugging my ears with my MP3 player.
