I woke up super early the next morning so I could get to the school early to set stuff up. I got ready and left a note stuck to my door.

"Grey, gone to school. Wish me luck!"

I figured he'd appreciate it. I got there and carrying a big box tried the door only to find it locked. I knocked and knocked but there was no answer. I sat down not knowing what to do and was approached by some tall blonde guy.

"You realize that schoo, doesn't start for like a week right?"

He asked with a small grin.

"Yes," I said standing, "I wanted to get everything set up and figure out what I need to buy for the students. I'm the new art teacher. My name is Rina."

I offered my hand and he grabbed it, bringing it to his mouth with a smile.

"My name is Lucas Wren. I'm the principal."

"Well Lucas I don't mean to offend but.. You seriously don't look like a principal."

He looked down, still holding my hand, and chuckled lightly. I almost melted.

"Well Ms..."

"Judson. But you can just call me Rina."

"Okay, Rina. I'll let you in and get you a copy of the key."

I followed him inside the building and waited in his office.

"Why are you here a week early Mr. Wren?"

I asked, to be honest I just want him to talk again.

"Please Rina, just call me Luke. Mr. Wren is my father. I'm here doing the same as you. Figuring stuff out, setting things up. Showing the pretty new girl around."

I blushed and took the keys that he offered. He walked me to the classroom I'd call mine. I began examining the drawers and cupboards.

"Everything here?"

Luke Wren asked.

I nodded.

"Everything except for utinsels."

I said pulling out my phone, texting Grey to remind me to get some before school actually starts.

We stood around kind of awkwardly for a few minutes. We set up my school account and I learned my schedule. Yes, teachers have schedules too. I learned the classes I was going to teach and when lunch was.

"The day ends at 3:05 pm. That's when most people go home but art club meets on every Tuesday and Friday afterward until 5:30 pm. You'll have to be here on those days.

Is that okay with you?"

He asked.

"Yeah that will be fine. Thank you Lucas. I should actually get some stuff hauled in here."

"I'll help you."

He suggested following me out to my car.

"You're sure? I'd really hate to be a burden. I mean, you've got to have things to do yourself."

I said.

"Yes Rina, I'm certain. You're absolutely not a burden."

"Okay. We'll I have five easels and other stands, I have an air box and chalk spray to keep it still. Um, I have a few boxes of my own stuff and examples and other students stuff from a few years ago.."

I rattled off the rest of my list and Lucas got a regretful look on his face. I smiled and laughed at him.

"Look at what you've gotten yourself into!"
