Lucas' family was very nice, except for his sister of course but hey. Who gives huh? I'm alone at home when Lucas calls me.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rina what's up?"

I shake my head before remembering he can't see me.

"Nothing really why?"

"Just wondering if you wanted to go to the beach. It's a hot day and I'll bet water would feel great right now."

I smiled at his sweetness and my heart wrenched. I don't deserve him.

"Yeah that would be great."

"Sweet! I'll swing by and pick you up in ten okay?"

"Yeah bye."

I tied my hair back and grabbed a bathing suit. I threw on a tank top and shorts over it and grabbed a bra and underwear for afterward, and ran down the stairs to wait. An old guy that lived under Grey's apartment was staring at me so I turned around and pretended I didn't see him.

"Excuse me."

He came walking up to me. I smelled liquor on his breath and he was sweaty wearing ratted clothes full of holes.

"Could you help me move some stuff out of my apartment with me? I need a lot of help and you look perfect for the job."

Gross...

"Why don't you call a moving company?"

"Do you see where I live? I can't afford moving people."

"Well surely you've got some friends- guy friends- that can help you."

He stared at me and stepped closer, I stepped away.

"Excuse me sir is there a problem here?"

Lucas came storming up, and I quickly stepped behind him.

"Pardon me sir, but I asked you a question. Is there a problem here?"

The guy stared at Luke and smirked.

"I'm just asking for some help with some stuff man chill."

Lucas grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the creepy dude and we got I to his car.

"Can we stop at the store and grab a few things?"

He smiled and nodded excitedly.

"Yeah of course."

He pulled into a store lot and we went inside.

"So what was that all about Rina?"

"The creepy guy? He was being creepy. I don't know."

We got out and walked into the store and grabbed a basket.

"You're going to just shut down then? You're not going to let me in or share anything?"

I stopped and threw a bag of chips into the basket then turned to Lucas.

"What the hell are you talking about Lucas?"

He stared at me for a second measuring his words.

"We can't have this conversation here. We can talk later after we have a great day at the beach okay?"

I glared at him and surrendered.

"Fine. Alright."

We got snacks and stuff then headed to the beach. We got there and I set up the beach blanket perfectly so that sand can't get on the top of it. Lucas ran up behind me and dove on my perfect little sand less domain, ruining the entire thing.
