"Oh no! Where is Jun?"

Jimin's voice was muffled behind his hands that were used to cover his face.

He paused a little for anticipation before spreading out his palms and sticking his head towards Jun to say, "Peek-a-boo!"

The baby's small lips curled up and he let out a quiet giggle. Jimin continued to repeat the game a couple more times before turning on his back to lie down on the bed. Jun's tiny fist was curled around Jimin's index finger and he rubbed the back of his small hand with his thumb.

They stared at his bedroom ceiling for the next few minutes before Jimin let out a sigh. He turned his head to Jun who was already staring back at him.

"I'm bored," said Jimin.

He puckered his lips into a pout. Realising that it made Jun giggle, he pouted a couple more times to make him laugh again.

"Shall we go to Nari noona's place?" he asked the baby. Jun smiled, exposing his pink gums. A hint of white tooth could be seen, Jimin had realised the week before that he had started teething. He found it incredibly exciting and wanted to share the special moment that he called Hoseok and Nari.

"Look at you smiling so widely." He nudged Jun's round cheeks, causing his grin to widen. "You must really like Nari."

Within the next few minutes, they had left his apartment with his bag of neccesities and were knocking on Nari's door. Not long after, the door slowly opened and Nari's head poked out.

She looked at Jun and then up at Jimin, both of them smiling widely at her. Her brows knitted together into a frown as she huffed.

"How can I help you?"

"We just wanted to hang out," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"I'd rather not." Nari scowled.

"Aww come on, Nari! Friends are supposed to hang out with each other," he said, wiggling his eyebrows, much to her annoyance.

She rolled her eyes and stepped back to widen the doorway. Jimin was genuinely surprised at how easily she let them in. Her kind gestures was something he definitely wasn't used to but he still appreciated it.

"What's gotten into her?" he whispered to Jun, "I didn't think it was possible for her to be so nice."

When he entered her apartment, she closed the door behind them. She scowled at his back after hearing what he had said.

"I can kick you out easily so don't get on my nerves," she warned before walking past him to go to the lounge area. Jimin followed her in and laid Jun down on the leather sofa, before sitting next to him.

"What are you up to?" he asked.

Nari sat down on the rug, right in front of the coffee table that was filled with papers and folders.

"I think it's pretty obvious," she said, pointing to the mess that was scattered in front of her.

"Nari the workaholic who does her work even during a Saturday afternoon," he chuckled, shaking his head.

"Of course, I didn't become this successful by doing nothing," Nari replied as she pushed up her glasses when it began to slide down her nose and continued with typing on the laptop.

Nari was too engrossed in her work to notice how obviously Jimin was observing her. She was wearing gold circular glasses that made her look like a granny but Jimin thought it fit her well. It softened her cold expression.

He thought how if she had always worn her glasses, others would mistakenly assume her to be nice and innocent. He let out a chuckle thinking back to when they had first met, her small stature had fooled him. Who would've guessed she would turn out to be so tough and scary.

"You look cute with glasses," he complimented.

Nari stopped typing and looked up. All she could do was blink a couple times because she couldn't think of a witty reply. Nari felt rather awkward with the compliment, especially as it came from Jimin.

His eyes widened when he processed what he had just said. "Oh no, I'm not trying to flirt with you. I wouldn't do that to my best friend's relationship."

What made the situation even more bizarre for Nari was that Hoseok didn't even come to mind. She was too distracted by the unusual pace of her heart beating and how the way she was feeling reminded her of what Heejung had said about getting butterflies in your stomach.

No way! It can't be that. I'm only behaving like this because of my lacking experience of getting compliments, explains why I feel so awkward. That's right.

Despite Jimin still looking at her, she decided it was best not to continue that weird conversation and reverted back to typing on her laptop.

Jimin opened the bag he had brought with him. He took out a pacifier, baby bottle, nappies and so on; which he laid on the sofa besides him. Nari's eyes widened, shocked at the amount of things he was taking out of such a small and rather compact bag.

"I would like it if you don't make a mess in my house."

Jimin let out a laugh, "This must be triggering your OCD," he gestured towards the clutter he had created.

"Oh please, everything about you triggers me. From your hair to your messy apartment."

He ran his fingers through his hair and ruffled it, causing Nari to cringe.

"It's called fashion and style, I don't expect you to understand when you literally live in office wear only."

"More like 'I'm a rich boy yet I don't own a comb' hairstyle."

Jimin scratched his chin and pretended to consider it. "Hmm, I'm liking that idea. I definitely see the look being styled on the runway in the near future."

"Oh, stop talking! You are distracting me from my work."

"Sorry but I can't help the fact that my presence is so mesmerising that it even distracts a workaholic like you," he joked, batting his eyes.

"I'm really starting to consider dragging you out of my house."

Jimin shook his head and clucked his tongue. "Now, now. Don't be sour just because you lost the argument."

"No one won or lost," she replied.

"Keep telling yourself that, boo," he tsked. He bit his bottom lip to hold back his laughter. It was amusing to witness Nari desperately trying to restrain herself from losing it.

"I'm this close to ending your life." Nari pinched her index finger and thumb to indicate the little amount of tolerance she had left in her.

"Small people like you shouldn't get so angry," he said. He extended his arm to make a daring move and patted her head.

"Stop patronising me!"

Nari closed her eyes to calm herself down but that seemed to fail when she tried to grab his hand. But before she could cause any damage to his arm, he quickly pulled away and rose from his seat. That only seemed to cause her to decline into a deeper stage of anger because she too jumped up from the ground.

Jimin's loud laughs and Nari's curses echoed all the way up to the high ceilings; as they ran around the apartment. However, their game of cat and mouse chase was cut short when Jun began to cry after losing sight of them.

Jimin walked to Jun to cradle him, oblivious to the glare that was being darted at the back of his head.

This is not over, Park Jimin.
