Everyone smiled as we approached the house. Everything appeared to be untouched. The rusted '68 Ke10 still sat off to the side of the property, the shed, the house, the peach tree, everything untouched by walker or human, just the way we left it. As we pulled onto the property a  small, rusted mailbox that stood at the end of the driveway came into view.

I watched as everyone quickly climbed out of their cars and admired the property. "You weren't kidding." Glenn awed.

"Beautiful, ain't it?" I smiled as I walked over to Glenn. "Just how we left it." Maggie approached the front porch, covering her mouth in shock as she tried to fight back tears "Maggie? You alright?" Maggie nodded and gave me a gentle smile.

     "I just can't believe we're back." Maggie's voice trembled.

"Yeah. It's hard to believe, after everythin' we went through, and here we are." I looked off towards the fenced in field across the street and saw a figure standing, looking directly at us.

"Michaela?" Rick called out to me as he stepped up beside me. "You alright?" I didn't respond. "Should we start diggin'?"

"No, it should be me." I sighed. "I didn't ask y'all to come to bury 'em with me, I asked y'all to come with me so we could have a safe place to stay"

"I ain't lettin' ya do this alone, so ya might as well not fight about it." Rick chuckled. I looked back towards the field to see the figure was still standing there, looking towards us.

"I, uh..." Abraham cleared his throat as Eugene elbowed him in the ribs. "I can help dig the grave."

"I thought ya wanted to leave as soon as we got here." I asked.

"Yeah, well, what kind of guy would I be if I was to leave when ya need me most?" I gently smiled at Abraham and turned to Maggie.

"Did Hershel keep the shovels in the shed?"

"He moved 'em to the basement when we kept Randall in the shed." Maggie answered. "I'll go get 'em."

"I'll help dig." Daryl spoke up before leaning close to my ear. "I think Rick needs to go see Shane as much as you do." I gently nodded and watched as Daryl and Maggie entered the house. I turned back towards Rick and motioned for him to follow me. We walked in silence as we walked towards the field. I picked up my speed as the figure became more distinguishable.

"Michaela, wait up!" Rick called out to me as I hopped the fence Tara helped me fix. and ran towards Shane.

     "Ya made it." Shane smiled.

"Barely, but yeah, I made it." I huffed as I caught my breath. "I made a promise."

"That you did." Shane chuckled. "Thank you."

"Michaela, what the hell?" Rick huffed as he ran up beside me. "Why'd ya run?"

"Ya brought 'em with ya?" I simply nodded.

"Why are ya noddin'?" I looked from Rick back to Shane.

"He can't see me, only you."

"Is he-?" Rick motioned to the empty space in front of me, I gently nodded. "Shane?"

"Did ya tell 'em what I told ya?" I nodded again. "Tell 'em- tell 'em I'm sorry, for everythin'."
