MICHAELA'S POV
"Carol?" I smiled. "Tyreese?" No one spoke as I limped over to them, embracing them in a long awaited hug. "I've miss you guys so much."
"That's not all who we ran into." Rick smiled from behind me. I looked over my shoulder at Rick. My jaw trembled as tears welled up in my eyes.
"Judith?" I whimpered.
"Tyreese had 'er. Kept 'er safe." I walked over to Rick and he handed me Judith. She had gotten so big since the last time I saw her. Her hair had grown, but still remained blonde, her eyes were brown, and she was definitely taller and heavier. I gently pressed my lips against her forehead and held her close against me.
"Oh my God." Tears rolled down my face. "I thought she was dead."
"We had every right to assume she was. Her car seat was covered in blood."
"I think I can explain that." Tyreese spoke up. "I grabbed Judith out of her car seat and a man came at us. I shot him in the leg and a group of walkers attacked him, completely devoured him."
"Speaking of devoured." Sasha added. "Did you bring the van?"
"Yeah." I smiled and tossed her the keys. "Oh, and Abraham." Abraham turned and looked at me. "The van is actin' up. Started sputterin' when I turned it on. The fuel injector might just need to be cleaned, but I'd take a look at it in the mornin' if I was you." Everyone looked at me in shock. "What?"
"You know about cars?" Bob asked.
"Now, that's just sexist. Just because I'm a woman, I don't know about cars?" I couldn't help but to laugh. "Nah, Dale taught me a thing or two, that and Paw had a lot of car magazines around the house. They helped me repair the truck at his house, that and multiple trips to the library and auto shop."
"Well, what do ya know?" Abraham smiled.
"So, how are we lookin' on supplies?"
"We're low, but we have enough to wait the night." Rick answered. "Tomorrow I'll send a group of people out scavengin' for supplies."
"We were kinda hopin' you'd have an idea where to look." Maggie added.
"The area's changed some since I lived here, but I know a few places." I nodded. Sasha entered the house with the bags. "I still got some food and water in my bag, it'll give us enough for for somethin' in the mornin' too." I walked over to my bag and dug out the food and water before Carol took it from me.
"I'll get started." Carol smiled.
"I'll help ya."
"No." Daryl spoke up. "You're favorin' that leg, ya need it looked at."
"He's right, Michaela." Bob agreed.
"It's only hurtin' more because I pushed myself to run. I'm fine, really."
"I know, but I still need to make sure it didn't cause major damage, on top of that, clean it and bandage it."
"Why don't ya go upstairs and take a shower." RIck suggested. I let out a sigh and nodded. I dug around in my bag and pulled out a clean set of clothes before making my way upstairs. It felt awkward to be in this bathroom. After what happened my last night here, I was hoping I'd never have to look at it again.
