POP! The sky lit up as a bright red ball launched into the sky. "It could be the others." Maggie stated.

"It ain't, we got the flare gun, remember?" I argued. "It's Eric. Follow it."

"Are ya nuts?" Abraham scoffed.

"Extremely. Follow it."

"No way-"

"Listen here, ginger dick, either you drive I will yank ya out of your seat by your testicles and drive the RV myself!" Abraham grumbled under his breath and drove off towards the flare.

"Damn." Scott chuckled. "I don't wanna fuck with you."

"No, ya don't." We drove a few miles down the road in complete silence, keeping an eye out for any sign of Eric.

"This is stupid." Sasha scoffed. "We could've met up with the others by now.

"No, they're probably headed this way."

"What makes you think that?" Samantha asked.

"They think we shot it and will be headin' this way. Ya wanna meet up with the others, then we gotta be where that flare is at."

"Walkers." Eugene called out. I rushed to the front of the RV as Abraham pulled the RV over. A small group of walkers were surrounding a small car.

"Alright, let's take 'em out." I removed my bow from my back, quickly knocking an arrow as I stepped out of the RV. SQUELCH! I released my arrow, piercing the back of a walker's skull, gaining the remaining walkers' attention. SHUKK! SLICE! SHUKK! SHUKK! SQUELCH! Abraham, Daryl, Maggie, Scott, and Rosita quickly made their way over to the walkers, taking them out without hesitation.

"Clear." Abraham stated. I walked over to the car and peered into the windows, but the car was empty.

"Why were they attracted to the car?" Scott asked. "No one's here."

"P-Please." A voice whimpered from underneath the car. "Please, h-help me." I knelt down and peered under the car, instantly spotting a skinny figure.

"You alright?" I asked.

"My ankle." The voice trembled. "The roamers came after me. The pushed a car and it ran over my ankle. I crawled under here as fast as I could."

"Was he bit?" Daryl asked.

"Did ya get bit or scratched?" I redirected the question.

"No." The voice answered. I let out a sigh before extending my hand out, slowly pulling the person out from under the car. The moonlight lit up their features. It was a young man with brown-ish hair, he was skinny, tall, clean shaven, clean clothes, completely healthy besides the injured foot.

"It's alright." I smiled. "You're safe now, Eric."

"How do you know my name?" Eric asked.

"We have Aaron... well, we don't, but the other half of our group does."

"He'll be heading this way. The flare is for us to signal to each other when we are in trouble."

"Which is why we're here."

"We need to camp for the night." Rosita added. "We can't continue on like this. It's better to wait until morning."

"There's an old garage down the street." Eric grunted in pain as he leaned against the parked car. "If we can get there, it should be safe. Aaron and I cleared it a while back."
