D: Screw it, I need to hear your voice.
I'm calling you. 3:00 am
"Hello?" She answered softly
"Hey!"
"Hey. What are you doing up this late, lover boy?"
"I wanted to make sure you got in. Is everything okay? What's going on, you sound sad?"
"I had another one."
"Damnit. Okay, are you doing your breathing exercises? Is there something you could eat?"
"I'm eating saltines"
"That's good. I'm proud of you baby, was it easier to handle this time?"
"Yeah. But I still wanted to call you. I'm sorry if I woke you up."
"No, I was awake. I'm happy your safe beautiful."
"-I miss you. " he confessed
A smile went wide across her face
"I miss you so much."
"Maybe I could drive up tomorrow, come stay with you for a night. I want to take you out."
"Danny, what did I do to deserve you?"
"I just...I want to make sure you're okay? I know these panic attacks are new, and with you being gone for the next few weeks makes me nervous"
"I love you." She whispered so softly he didn't hear it through the phone
"Jess? You still there?"
"Yeah I'm here." Her voice was all chocked up. She was falling in love with the man on the other side of the phone. It scared her because it happened so fast.
"Don't cry. Why are you crying."
"I don't know" she began to laugh a little
"Danny?"
"Yeah?"
"Maybe when I'm done hear we can take a trip? Somewhere far, you and me?"
"I would love that"
And he stayed until she was asleep
