Chapter 7.

I'm currently in the mall with Amar, he is so intrigued by these dress stores. I honestly couldn't give a flying f-

"Tris!" I turn my vision of focus towards Amar.

"This dress is stunning, try it on for me." I roll my eyes, "Didn't know you were such a girl, uncle."

"Shut up you weasel." I giggle. I walk into probably the 7th dressing room in the past hour and try on the dress. It's a white low v neck styled dress. Only mid-thigh length, it poofs a little from the waist. Reminding me of a princess dress. I walk out and twirl for my uncle. He shakes his head and hands me another dress. I groan.

It's been two hours and I've found nothing, I could have been using my precious time driving, but no. I'm shopping.

"Trissy, I've found a dress." Amar calls out.

"I swear if it's another pink poufy one, I'll slit your throa-"

He gives me a simple black dress, with shoe string straps and goes to mid-thigh.

"What were you about to say?" he asks, sarcasm dripping from his voice. I walk into the dressing room and try on the piece of fabric. I chuck my denim jacket over the top and head out to Amar. I do my twirl and pose. Laughing, I watch his reaction.

"I actually don't mind the denim jacket. Now we've found a dress, its shoe shopping."

"Honestly can I just wear black converse?" he gasps.

"I'm going to forget you ever said that." I huff.

I find some simple black spaghetti strapped high heeled shoes (so much for simple shoes) to satisfy my uncle.

"I don't need makeup; Christina will do mine." I explain, hoping to cut this trip shorter.

"Well do we need anything else?" Amar asks. I shake my head violently.

He laughs, "Okay, we can go home now." I do a little victory dance. We both laugh.

When we get home, I'm holding two big plastic bags with my outfit in it. Amar walks behind me, not even offering to grab anything. No wonder he's not Abnegation. When we walk in everyone stops and stares at us. They are all at the kitchen table eating dinner. Even Hana is there.

"What you got there Tris?" Zeke asks. I groan.

"Amar you can have the pleasure of explaining, I'm going to my room to unpack." I say as I trudge up the stairs.

"Amar what torture did you put our baby though?" I hear George ask. I chuckle.

After fifteen minutes of gently placing my dress and shoes away. I head down to my family and sit beside Tori and Four.

"I'm so sorry, you should of called me." Exclaimed George. "When his inner fashionista bursts out, it's crazy. I pray for you." He continues. I sigh. Four leans into me and whispers into my ear, "Let's hope the shopping trip wasn't for nothing, can I take a peep of what my date is wearing."

"Not a chance number boy, just wear a plain black tie." I whisper back with a smirk.

Tori pulls me into a side hug, "I'm so sorry, how are you feeling darling?" I place my head on her shoulder.

"Tiring, did you know we went into twenty-five different shops?" the whole table laughs. As much of a pain that experience was, I love seeing my family like this.

// okay guys, this chapter is shorter because

1. It's sort of a filler chapter, next chapter is a time skip to Friday so more Four and Tris action

2. I'm actually meant to be studying for my science exam tomorrow, but you know, procrastination over comes us all.

I will be updating the next chapter either tonight or Wednesday (I live in Australia so yeah) ta ta pansycakes //
