The Special Trash Can

Lunch

After English I headed straight to the cafeteria. Once I got my lunch I sat down in the table in the corner with the team

Our group didn't consist of cheerleaders or jocks who are full of that oh so annoying "school spirit". No, to be in our group you had to be an asset to the team.

Our group consisted of:

Dexter (a.k.a the tech wizard)

He's your average smart kid in class. Sticks to himself most of the time and often blends into the background. But give this kid a laptop and he'd give Einstein a run for his money. He hacks into the school cameras and deals with pretty much anything computerized.

Codename: Firewall

Adam (a.k.a the brains)

Pretty much the smartest kid in school. He is top in all of his classes. As a child he spent most of his time indoors making puzzles and has developed a keen eye for detail. Any and all plans are run by him. He finalizes the plan and insures nothing can go wrong.

Codename: Playmaker

Sam (a.k.a Daddy's little girl)

One of the most important members to our team. The principal's daughter. She supplies us with any information we need. Because of her position she has access to all records, dates and most importantly the principals schedule. She also contains homemade keys to the school and can throw the principal off our tail at any time

Codename: princess

Matthew (a.k.a the money)

Head of the operation. He buys all the equipment and necessities for the pranks. He has the final decision whether or not the mission goes ahead. If we ever get caught we can also use Matthews money to find a way out

Codename: The Boss

Then there's Me (a.k.a the dare devil)

I complete all the pranks and work best under pressure. I'm slick, stealthy and most importantly have never been caught. I never turn down a dare and I always achieve my goal, always.

Codename: ghost

Together we are DD.

the group is pretty much like my second family. we have been through so much together. We pull off pranks and have the best time doing it

No one in school knows we're DD but they knew better than to get on our bad side. With Matthews's money and Sam's position they'd probably get expelled by the end of the week.

"Sup guys". I sat down beside Sam and started eating my sandwich.

"Hey Alex, here's the remote for later. Just hit that button and your good to go" Dexter handed me a small slender remote in the shape of a rectangle

"Thanks Dex"

"I can't wait to see the horrified look on my dads face when we get home" Sam had a huge smile on her face

"I know right, I spent the last 3 moths waiting to come back to school just to prank the principal again." Adam spoke up in a cheerful mood

Matthew approached us and took his seat at the top of the table. He spoke in a deep low voice with an evil glint in his eyes "todays gonna be a good day people "

After lunch Sam and I headed to history. We took our usual seats at the back of the room and waited for the teacher to arrive. She turned to me just before the teacher entered the class "My dad is making his announcement in 10 minutes" with that Ms. Kelly walked through the door and I started my count down

Ms. Kelly was right in the middle of a rant about the French revolution that I wasn't paying attention to when the class was suddenly interrupted by the intercom "Attention all students, you will now receive an announcement from our beloved principal, Mr. Rivers" in the corner of my eye watched a small smirk appear on Sam's face as she waited with anticipation.

"Thank you for that lovely introduction Ms.Peters" everyone in school knew that there was something going on between them. I looked around the room and saw most people rolling their eyes, the others have probably already zoned out. I turned to Sam and saw her happy face was now replaced by a disgusted one. I couldn't help but laugh a little to myself.

"Now onto school Business" The principal continued

"Welcome back students and teachers to hopefully another wonderful academic year ahead" Feeling bored I decided that he had said enough I pressed red button on the remote Dexter gave me

"First id like to say..." suddenly a cracking interrupted the principal, which made everyone in the class ears perk up,

"THANK YOU MR.RIVERS FOR THOSE VERY BORING AND UNINTERESTING WORDS TO THE STUDENTS, BUT I THINK I'LL TAKE IT OVER FROM HERE" A recording of a deeper, electronised and unrecognizable version of my voice played on the intercom. The teacher had a mixture of confusion and worry written on her face

"WELCOME BACK STUDENTS, YOUR GOOD PAL DD HERE" Dexter has a free period right now so he was stationed in the upper level bathroom denying the school access to the intercom.

Smiles grew on students around the room as the recording continued

"AS THE PRINCIPAL HAS MENTIONED IT'S A NEW SCHOOL YEAR AND TO WELCOME BACK ALL THE STUDENTS IVE DECIDED TO ORGANIZE A LITTLE TREASURE HUNT" high fives were exchanged between classmates some 'yeahs' were heard

"AS YOU ALL KNOW THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 50 TRASH CANS IN THIS SCHOOL. WELL, HID IN ONE OF THOSE TRASH CANS IS 2000 DOLLARS" The teachers eyes nearly popped out her head and students started whispering amongst themselves

"THE ONLY RULE OF THIS TREASURE HUNT IS FIRST TO FIND IT, KEEPS IT. SEARCH HARD, SHOW NO MERCY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN SEARCHING. AS ALWAYS –DD"

When the recording finished everyone's eyes were on the teacher and complete silence filled the room

The teacher put her hands out in front of her and spoke in a slow cautious voice. "Everyone just stay calm"

The silence by the student's ended when a boy screamed at the top of his lungs "MONEY!!!!!" Suddenly everyone sprinted out of their seats and the hallways were filled with a stampied of students searching crazily through bins

Sam and I met up with the others and watched on as teachers chased students, and students practically tackling each other just to reach the trash can first.

Dexter showed up after 10 or so minutes. "How's the firewall"

He smirked and took a seat "That baby isn't coming down until I tell it to"

After watching for a further 10 minutes we heard the principal screaming orders down the hall and witnessed some students giving up

We started to make our way towards the balcony that overlooked the principal's office and I turned to the team and saw 4 goofy smiles. They knew what was coming next.

"Time for phase two"
