You're The Reason Why. (Nash and Hayes Grier FF)

Chapter 2 [:

I turned to my left as I saw a boy wearing a black hoodie looking at me.

"Hi, I'm Katherine." I said.

"Cool, I'm Hayes," He said smiling, "Did you just move here?"

"Haha, Yeah." I said.

He seemed to be pretty cool, I guess. He got that nice bieber flippy hair ayye!

"Class we have a new student joining us, her name is Katherine." I stood up and did one of those awkward waves, because I'm awkward like that. I got a chant of hellos and some people just stared. I had a good feeling about today though.

We were about half way through first block and Ms. Carpenter walked over to Hayes and asked him something and then they both looked at me and smiled. He nodded his head, but I don't know what she asked him.

Bruh, if you're trying not to make it obvious - DON'T LOOK AT ME.

Hayes P.O.V.

Ms. Carpenter introduced Katherine, and she did this awkward wave. I actually thought it was kinda cute.

About half way through our class Ms. Carpenter walked over to me. I thought I was in trouble but to my surprise she wanted me to show Katherine around.

"Hayes, would you like to show Katherine around? I noticed you two had the same classes." She said.

Stalker Teacher Status.

"Uh, yeah, sure." I said as we both looked over at Katherine and smiled. Katherine looked over at us probably wondering what was going on. She doesn't know about Hayes yet, but she about too. 😈

"Thank you Hayes." Ms.Carpenter said. No problem." I replied, while nodding. Ms. Carpenter was a pretty nice teacher despite the homework, so this was the least I could do for her.

Soon enough class was over so I tapped Katherine on the shoulder.

"I'll be showing you around since we have the same classes. Ms. Carpenter asked me if thats what you're wondering." I said.

"That's cool, it says on my schedule we have some teacher named Ms. Pitt next?" Katherine said as she was packing up.

"Yeah, she's umm, Science.." I said.

"I love Science, but whats with the 'Umm'?" She questioned.

"You'll have to just wait and judge her for yourself." I said giving her a smirk.

We started walking down the hall. Believe it or not, I actually thought she would have recognized me from some where by now, or at least by my last name. Grier.

Off to Ms. Pitt.

She was one of the weirdest, and to be honest scariest, teachers. Well it wasn't that she was scary it was just that she was strict as God knows what.

She taught Science, I actually hated Science, but Kat loved it.

Katherine. Kat. Kit-Kat.

Psh, and girls think guys are complicated.

Kat's P.O.V.

I'm glad to know that Ms. Carpenter and Hayes weren't smiling at me because of my awkwardness. [:

So Hayes gets to show me around what a joy. I don't know if that was actually meant to be sarcastic or just overly enthusiastic.

I asked him about some lady named Ms. Pitt and he gave me this response like she was a devil. I believe that everyone is kind, they just adapt to their situations.

We walked down the hall to go to Ms. Pitt's and Hayes looked like he was having a conversation in his mind. Haha guys are weird.

We arrived to Ms. Pitt's room and it was completely dull. All I noticed were the blank, white and dirty walls. Dammn she runs a prison, don't she?

Some much for loving Science.

When we arrived to her room Hayes walked with me to her desk.

"Hi, I'm Katherine. I'm new here." I said smiling at her.

"Glory! Another student has arrived to get some education! You can sit beside Hayes." She said gesturing me a table with two chairs.

Thats what Hayes meant.

"Thank you!" I said. She nodded.

Me and Hayes put down our books and then I sighed. "Told you," He said smirking, "She's interesting."

"Yeah, you were right." I said.

Ms. Pitt started talking, then we watched some video about global warming. Soon enough her class was over.

"Now class I would like you too have an essay on ways we can help stop global warming. Due in 1 week." Ms.Pitt said right before the bell rang.

Everybody, and I mean everybody groaned, even me. An essay? I JUST GOT HERE, My goodness.

"If you need some help you can call me babe." A guy said while slipping me his number.

"Gross." I replied as I took the slip of paper and ripped it up. I knew what he was, a sleaze bag. He raise's girls self esteem because he's deemed attractive and then cuts them down and uses them for his own benefit.

"Come on Brad, leave her alone." I heard Hayes say.

"Mad because I might get your girl again?" He smirked.

I looked at Hayes and I saw pain in his eyes. Heartbreak even.

I looked at Brad and flipped him off. Not with one hand but with both. Hayes looked at me shocked, but I stormed out of the room.

A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicyle.

Hayes P.O.V.

I completely zoned out in Ms. Pitt's room because I was staring at Katherine. She was gorgeous. The way the light shined on her golden-brown hair, and the way she bit her lip when she got annoyed. I was snapped back into reality when Ms.Pitt announced we had an essay due in 1 week.

Everybody groaned including me and Katherine.

Brad, the biggest player slipped Katherine his number, but she replied by saying "Gross." and ripping it up.

"Come on Brad, leave her alone." I said waiting for him to catch the hint she wasn't interested.

"Mad because I might get your girl again?" He said, then smirked.

That hurt.

It felt like I had just been stabbed

in the heart

with a dagger.

Clearly Katherine saw I was hurt because she gave Brad the bird on both hands.

I'm not gonna lie I was completely and utterly shocked. Then she stormed out of the room.
