You're The Reason Why. (Nash and Hayes Grier FF)

Chapter 4 (:

Hayes P.O.V.

I finished my homework and then started working on my essay.I heard my mom and dad as they arrived home."FAMILY MEETING!" They both said in unison. I sat down on the couch next to Nash and Skylynn. Will sat on the floor.

Weirdo.

"We have new neighbors and I decided to invite them over for dinner." My mom said. I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing that Katherine's coming over. "They'll be here at 8 sharp, so go freshen up and put something nice on." She continued, while smiling.

It was 6:22 right now so I had a good hour and a half. I took a shower and then got out and combed my hair. I put on some boxers and then looked for something to wear. I decided to wear some khaki shorts and a blue Nike shirt. I put on some cologne then walked downstairs.

"Hey hunny, whats up?" My mom said. "Nothing." I said while grabbing a piece of cheese. "I heard our new neighbors have a daughter about your age." She said while smiling. "Katherine? Oh yeah." I said. "So you two have met?" She asked. "Yeah, I showed her around today." I replied. I smiled then left the kitchen and went into the living room.

Katherine's P.O.V.

I studied the white walls in my room as I started working on my homework. My essay is gonna suck ballsacs because I'm a terrible writer.

I heard my mom as she entered the house. "Katherine, hunny come down here!" She yelled up the steps. I hurried downstairs. "Whats up?" I said. "We're gonna have dinner with The Grier family, they live down the street from us." She smiled. "They have a son your age."She winked at me and then said to be ready by 8.

I'm guessing their son was Hayes.

I turned on my straightner and began to straighten my hair. Once I was done I looked for something to wear. My clothes were all boxed up so I ended up ripping up the boxes marked clothes until I found what I wanted to wear. I wore a pair of blue jeans and a black shirt. I put on a black hoodie that said Justin Bieber in white fancy letters. I put on my black converses and by that time it was time to go.

My mom grabbed her keys and we headed out. Like 2 seconds later we were there. We got out and my mom knocked on the door, A woman appeared at the door.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth! I'm the mom around here." She said then smiled. "Hi Elizabeth, I'm Betsy and this is my daughter Katherine." My mom said, then Mrs. Grier pulled my mom in for a hug and then me. "Well do come in!" She said while gesturing us in.

I walked in and it was gorgeous, there were paintings on the walls, and they had this amazing leather couch and chair set, their kitchen had granite countertops, it was just fabulous. I saw a man emerge from a hallway, I guess that was Mr. Grier. Me, him, my mom, and Mrs. Grier, all introduced each other, well I kinda just stood there. "Katherine, you can go upstairs and look for Hayes if you like. I heard you two have met." She said while winking.

I blushed, hard.

I walked upstairs wondering what he could have said about me. "Hiiiiiii!" Said a really small girl. OMG She's so cute! "Hi, I'm Katherine." I said. "I'm Skylynn." She said while hugging me, or my legs because she was kinda short.

"Hey, I'm Nash." I heard a guy say as I turned around. His eyes were flawlessly, amazing. I don't know if thats even a word. "Katherine." I said while smiling. He looked a bit older than Hayes, he must've been 16 or so. "I'm Will." Said another guy as he emerged from his bedroom. "Cool." I said.

I saw Hayes walking down the hall. "Skylynn," Nash said, "You wanna go downstairs?" She nodded her head yes then Will picked her up. Will and Skylynn went downstairs, but Nash stayed back, "Nothin' Nashty." He said then went downstairs. "Haha well then, your brother's seem nice." I said looking at Hayes. "Yeah, they're something. Haha." Hayes said while fidgeting. "What's wrong?" I said concerned.

"Are you mad at me?.." He blurted out. "No," I said, "Well I was earlier, but not anymore. I mean," I sighed, " What I'm trying to say is I'm sorry for whatever happened in your past, and I'm sorry that I ignored you earlier." He took my hand and we went to his bedroom. We both sat down on the bed.

"You shouldn't be apologizing. Its just I was so in love with this girl that made me act insane, I was head over heels in love, even though that might sound girly. She was amazing, everything I ever wanted in a girl. She was the definition of perfect in my book. One day she stopped talking to me, she said it wasn't working out. I asked her to meet up with me at the place we first met. So we met up there and I gave her a bouquet of red roses, because I heard thats what girls like, haha. She ended up going out with Brad, and thats what he meant by 'get your girl again.' Don't feel bad though I mean it was bound to happen sometime. She had a reputation with guys, if you know what I mean."

"I'm still sorry you had to go through that though, you deserve the best." I said while biting my bottom lip.

I looked down at his lips and me and him started getting closer.

"HAYES! KATHERINE! DINNER TIME!" I heard Nash yell, ugh he ruined the moment.

"We can finish this later." Hayes said while he grabbed my hand.
