Hayes P.O.V.

I heard my parents leave for work, then I heard Will leave for football practice. Nash hesitantly stopped at my room, but then left. So there I was, all alone consumed by my thoughts. I could've died right then, but I decided I should explain everything to Katherine. I packed a bag and then put the $4000 that I had saved up in it. I mean its not like I could stay here once I told her. I may only be 13, but I know my way around. Cameron always said I could stay with him if needed, I hope that offers still avaliable.

I prayed as I walked out of the house. This was it, it was finally hapening. It didn't look like Ms. Betsy was home because her car was gone. I texted Katherine and she said that the door was open. I walked in and took a breathe. "Katherine." I yelled. "In here!" She yelled back. She was sitting on the couch reading a book. I caught a glimpse of the title and it was The Fault In Our Stars. Her eyes looked teary and I knew what I was about to say would break her worse than the ending of that book.

"Katherine we need to talk." I said as serious as I could. She knew that something was up, because I usually would have been sarcastic. She gestured for me to come sit beside her, so I did. I leaned in to give her a hug, but instead she kissed me. It was a passionate kiss, full of lust. I didn't want to stop it, but I did. "Katherine, listen to me." I said with my voice shaking.

"I did it." I confessed, averting my eyes from her. "What did you do?" She asked confused. "I took a picture of you, ya know, then I sent it to Brad to prove I was better. I was stupid and I didn't think that he would send it to everyone. I did it for my ego, Katherine I really do love you and I don't want us to end like this." I said as I looked up. Katherine's eyes were filled with tears and when she blinked they all came crashing down on her face.

"Katherine it was never my intentions to hurt you, I really am sorry." I said as I started to cry. "Leave." Katherine mumbled. "LEAVE JUST GO! You betrayed my trust, I don't even know why you came here in the first place. Never come back, I never want to see you again." She yelled furiously as I got up. I left and I saw her as she watched me go. Well that was it, the end. California here I come.

*Boarding airplane to California*

I texted Cameron and he said it was okay to come, thank God. My life in North Carolina is over. Maybe this is what's best, ya know? I always needed a fresh beginning and this will be the perfect opportunity. I hope everyone understands. I never ment to hurt her I hope she understood that.

Kat's P.O.V.

Hayes had just told me he was the reason why all these bad things kept happening to me. He said he wanted to look good for Brad and his ego. What kind of monster does this? Why would he do this to me after all this time? I should've never trusted him or talked to him on the first day, I should've just stayed in my little corner and isolated myself like I usually do. I really did believe he was good. Like Anne Frank had said "Despite everything, I want to believe people are really good at heart." I want to be like Anne Frank and believe what he did was a huge mistake, but I can't.

After I yelled at Hayes and watched him leave I cried. I didn't just cry because he had made a huge mistake, but because I really thought I could trust him. I mean we spent so much time together and I told him things I've never told anyone else. He even made me his girlfriend, which was probably a bet between him and Brad. I still want him to be okay wherever he went, I wonder if Nash knew. I wonder if anyone knew. My thoughts are completely jumbled.

Once I limped upstairs, on my still hurt foot, I fell while going to my bedroom. I cried and screamed, and I felt just like I had before I got hit. I just laid there.

Fuck this, fuck the world.
