The Queen of hearts,
She made some tarts
All on a Summers day.
The knave of hearts
He stole those tarts
And hid them far away.He meant to have them
dinner next day,
But of course that rule
he did not obey.
The greedy old hoot
Couldn't help sampling his loot.Inside the stylish tarts
Shaped like perfect hearts
Lay a species of birds
With beady black eyes
A murder of crows
Sure to cause the knave's demise. And at first bite, those vicious crows
Pecked off the knave's poor nose.
The knave of hearts returned the tarts
And complained to the king of his plight.
The king let out a piercing laugh
And the queen she said:
"serves him right."November 2016 (16 years old)

Hi everyone this post is in honour of the beginning of my school holidays. I hurt my hand the other day and wasn't supposed to write, but as it usually goes when I'm not trying to write anything I get millions of ideas. So I scribbled this poem in barely legible handwriting on a scrap of paper and decided to publish it on wattpad. It is my first attempt at rewriting a nursery rhyme so I'd really appreciate it if you told me what you thought about it in the comments.
