Sadness overwhelmed me
Like a wave in the sea
I was drowning
In my own misery
But then
Out of the darkness
Came a pinprick of light
And the sadness
So real and so near
So ready to destroy
Was banished
And replaced with joy

First poem of the year-- I'm so exited!
I hope you like it because this poem made me cry when I wrote it. I'm not really sure where it came from, I just started writing. I'm also trying a new form in this one.
