------Jen's POV------

Today is the third day John hasn't been at the hospital. He didn't seem like such a bad person- I don't know why he would have left. He is Lily's boyfriend. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket- Its David. I'm meeting him at 12:30 in the hospital cafeteria.

I open up the text- of course. Typical David. He's throwing a party tonight. Its nice of him to invite me. I want to go but I can't. I'm afraid.

How am I going to tell David I don't want to go to his party because I don't want to be surrounded by people I don't know? Its ok. I have half an hour to figure this out as I walk towards the hospital. I decided to stop at Yogurties today and get Lily something.

Ten minutes go by and I finally begin to see the small shops on both sides of the road slowly appear. I run across the street, trying to avoid being hit by a car. These lights never change anyway.

I pass three stores then walk into Yogurties. Its really quiet today. I look around- walking up towards the counter. There is one man sitting in a booth in the corner reading a newspaper. I don't recognize him.

"Hello how can I help you?" A blonde greets me when I arrive to the counter.

"Uhm." I look at the menu, taken by all the selections.

"A strawberry shake and large yogurt."

"What kind of yogurt and what kind of toping?" She asks nicely.

"Low fat and chocolate chip."I smile thinking how happy Lily would be to get something besides cafeteria food.

"9.31$." The cash register flings open. I give her ten and she gives me change.

She leaves the cast and returns with my smoothie- it is a pinkish colour with whip cream. She comes bak with Lily's yogurt. I take both and start towards the exit. Maybe me and David can get McDonalds instead, but we need to go to the hospital anyway we still have to see Lily.

As I walk out, three men in black leather coats and tinted sunglasses file in through the doors and go sit with the man in the corner booth. Whn I manage to get the door open, I walk out. I look back out of curiousity to see what those guys are doing. Oh my goodness. What the hell? The newspaper man is John?

Should I go in and say hi? He must think so bad of me since I didn't even say hi or wave to him.

I open the door and walk back in, putting Lily's yogurt and my shake on a table besides the exit.

"John!" I yell, putting on a smile.

"Hello." He smiles at me, as if not remembering my name.

"Uhh." What do I say?

"Oh! Are you coming to David's party tonight?" I ask. Why did I ask him? He probably didn't even get invited. Up to two seconds ago I thought he dropped off the face of the earth just like Lily and David.

"Oh I'm not sure my phone hasn't been working. Probably not." He's still looking at me.

"Okay... Ill tell Lily you say hi." I stutter at a lost for words.

"Who's Lily?" One of his friends jump up.

"Oh Lily's John's girlfrien-"

"An old friend." He cuts me off. Why would he lie about his girlfriend? If I were a guy dating Lily I would be proud of it.

I give a fake smile and run off, grabbing my shake and yogurt on the way out. I feel like I ruined something- or messed something up. I pass McDonalds with only ten minutes to get to the hospital. Shit.
