A sweet melodic voice, called my name over and over. Was this a dream? The voice continued to call out my name, and echoed over and over. My eyes fluttered before I could finally blink. An absurdly handsome boy watched me from above. His eyebrows were raised, and he seemed to be extremely worried. When I had focused on him, his face muscles finally relaxed, and he lifted his grip on my hands. He pressed his lips tightly, attempting to smile. The edges of the boys’ perfect lips began to wobble a bit, before he showed his teeth and cried in happiness. He was whimpering ever so slightly, and tears were running down his flawless skin. Puzzled, I sat up and he backed away, still holding my hand. I realized that another boy, a bit older than myself was smiling to himself. His strange coloured bluish – grey eyes met mine and I could tell he was relieved.
“Maddy… “The younger boy said in between his whimpers. He hugged me tightly. I studied his face carefully. It was intriguingly perfect. The structure of his face was utterly defined, but it was nothing compared to his brothers, who had a more masculine look. The boy before me had a handsome – baby face… if that made any sense. Both him and his brother had bags under their eyes and seemed to be worn out. I observed the scenery; I was in some sort of barn. There was literally hay around me. Who were these two strangers? And how did I end up in a barn? Was I still in Hamilton?
“I know self defense,” I blurted out, my fists rose in a fighting stance. The young boy slowly backed away, and the older boy walked towards me, his face puzzled.
“Come any nearer, and I’ll have to use it on you.” Was I kidnapped?
“Madeleine… don’t you remember me?” he muttered under his breath. He seemed a little frustrated.
I shook my head. Was I supposed to? The boy turned and talked to the younger one. They muttered indistinctly. I attempted to listen in, where I only managed to hear “what the hell? is this some joke?”
The younger boy seemed calm. He walked towards me and introduced himself.
“Maddy, I’m Austin Apollo, and this,” he gestured to the older boy, “Is Zane Apollo, my older brother.” Of course they were related. They were both so gorgeous. I nodded slightly. He pressed on.
“What is the last thing you remember?” he inquired. I let my guard down and sat on a haystack. I racked my brain. What was the last thing I remembered? I didn’t really know. There wasn’t a vivid, memory.
“The last thing I can recollect… is that I was in Hamilton, and I moved there with mum… and now I am in a barn?”
The older one, Zane frowned. His arms crossed and his eyes fixed on me. I looked away, his gaze was intimidating, and it was like I wasn’t good enough.
“Brother, what are we supposed to do…” Austin muttered under his breath. The corners of Zane’s lips crept up, his jaw line more defined. He smiled ever so gently as the sun began to descend in the sky.
