I don't know if its just because this is on my phone, but it seems really long!
Enjoy,

- Alex-Marie's POV -
Walking towards the very familiar iron gates, my heart dropped to my stomach as I imagined the look on Dr. Martin's face when I entered his office again.
I took a deep breath, and pressed the button on the intercom box.
"Hello?" Maggie's sharp voice sounded out. I'd learned that her name was Maggie the day my little girl was born, when I brought her to Dr. Martin.
"Hey, Maggie, its Alex-Marie." I said politely, waiting for the low hum that would indicate the gates opening.
"Oh, hi Alex-Marie, come in." Her sharp tone softened as she realised who it was. The gates swung open and I headed towards the entrance. Maggie pointed straight down the usual corridor as I entered. I nodded and mumbled 'thanks' as I turned down the empty corridor, heading towards the familiar oak door at the end of it.
Just as I reached the door, it swung open, revealing a dishevelled looking Dr. Martin. I heard the starting sounds of a baby stirring. I smiled warmly at the man who took my little girl in, looking over his shoulder trying to catch a glimpse of her.
"Alex!" He gasped, gripping my shoulders in his strong arms as he gave my whole body a few firm shakes.
"Dr. Martin." I laughed, patting his forearms, wondering why he seemed so shocked. "You called?"
"Yes, I just didn't expect you here so soon," he looked over the top of my head, easy for him as he was considerably taller than me.
"Well, I came as soon as I heard about your call." I snapped my fingers in front of his face, bringing all his attention back to me. "Can I see her?" I bit my lip in anticipation.
"Huh? Urgh, yeah, sure." He waved me into his office as he continued to look down the still empty corridor.
I looked into the moses basket on the large desk, covered in everything pink. Nestled in the basket lay a tiny little bundle. The top of her head was covered in short dark hair, coming to the top of her forehead. Her bright grey eyes were open and gazing excitedly around the room. Her tiny rose shaped mouth formed a perfect little 'o' as a yawn escaped. I chuckled as her eyes locked on mine, confusion filling her eyes. I smiled at her, reaching my arms round the basket to pick the tiny little girl up. I stopped suddenly as I remembered something.
"Can I hold her?" I asked, biting my lip again as I looked over at Andrew, who was still looking down the corridor.
"Yes, of course, she is your daughter." He mumbled, briefly turning to look at me, a small smile on his lips, his eyes full of sympathy.
"She got a name yet?" I asked as I scooped her carefully into my arms, moving the blanket down slightly so I could see the pale birthmark on her jaw line.
"I thought maybe you'd like to name her." He stated, turning his full attention onto me.
"Elena. Elena Elizabeth," I whispered, a small smile on my lips as I named my daughter. She squirmed slightly, a gurgle escaping her lips as if she accepted her new name. "She'll have to be a Martin of course." I stated, my smiling dropping a little.
"She could be Walker if you wanted her to be." He said softly, placing his hand on my shoulder as we both gazed down at the perfect little girl in my arms.
