- Alex's POV -

"Shh, Lena, shh, mummy's here." I cooed, rocking my daughter gently in my arms.

The raised voices downstairs had quietened down about 5 minutes ago, and now I was for Seth to come and tell me what was happening. I sat perfectly still, my arms the only thing moving as I rocked Elena back to sleep.

Footsteps echoed throughout the small house, and my breath caught in my throat as a shadow passed by the door.

"Alex?" Seth's voice called, sounding tired.

Instead of answering, I stood up and pulled the door open, allowing him to see me before returning to the bed.

"You okay?" He asked, standing in the doorway.

I nodded.

"I'm so sorry."

"For what?" I whispered, never actually making eye contact with him.

"For Alesha. For not telling you who she was." He explained, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Don't worry about it."

"Ale-" He started, but I interrupted him.

"Can I go home now?"

"What? No!"

"Why?"

"Michael is still after you Alex, he could be anywhere out there."

A knock on the front door halted my response.

"Who's that?" Seth whispered, pulling the door closed.

"How am I supposed to know?"

"Shh." He mumbled, putting his index over his lips. I shut my mouth, and listened to any sound from downstairs.

"What are you doing here?" Alesha hissed, sounding pissed off.

"I'm here for what's mine. You said she was here." An all too familiar voice answered.

"Michael." I whispered, my eyes wide.

"Move, now." Seth hissed, shutting the door fully and pushing me towards the window.

"You want me to climb out of the window with a baby?" I asked, shocked.

"Hand Elena over, and climb as quietly as you can. I'll be right behind you." He added on the end, seeing the fear in my eyes.

I nodded, turning to face the window. The sky was still dark, making this drop look scarier that it actually was. I gulped, sitting down on the window ledge and lowering myself out of the window.

"Now, just remember, don't look down." Seth whispered, gripping onto my hand as I grabbed onto the rope that was conveniently hanging down the side of the house.

"You have rope, hanging from your window?"

"Yeah, just in case." He winked.

I shook my head at him, and continued on my climb down the side of his house.

A few minutes later, my feet were firmly planted on solid ground again. I breathed a sigh of relief, then pressed my body against the side of the house, shielding myself in the shadows, as I waited for Seth to join me.

"Let's go." He said, gripping my hand and pulling me towards his car the moment his feet touched the floor. "Get in, I'll sort Elena out."

I nodded, climbing into the passenger seat of the car. I had a weird sense of Deja Vu as I sat here. It had only been a few hours since Seth has rescued me from Michael's clutches, and now we were running from him again.

"Ready?" Seth asked, climbing into the drivers seat beside me. I smiled at him, and nodded. He smiled back and started the car.

A gun shot sounded, halting our movements.

"Get out of the car, Princess."
