Best Thing

Chapter 3

   I woke up and ran down stairs, excited for the day to start.  When I got to the bottom of the stairs I slid into the kitchen and found Ava making breakfast, which really wasn't a surprise you could almost always find Ava cooking in the kitchen.

  

"mmm smells good down here baby sister whatcha making?" I said

"Wow!" Ava looked at me, amazed, "I've never seen you happy before your morning coffee, are you excited for your date?" she finished.

"it's not technically a date," I told her " More like a...meeting up. You know what I'm saying?"

   She glanced up at me and rolled her eyes, "Whatever you say big sister, Hey before you go do you want some breakfast or can you not eat with all those butterflies flying around?" She smirked.

"HA HA very funny, no thank you im going to get ready. See you in a bit!"

    I started walking out of the room, and stopped, "and just for your information I am not nervous at all!" I told her, but she again just laughed. I dont see why I would be nervous anyways we are just two friends talking that was it. At least for a little bit and then things could  be considered a "date" but for now I will leave it at a... meeting up.

   I started to get ready. I grabbed my favorite outfit and left my hair down, it was naturally straight so it looked nice most of the time. I grabbed my phone, quick texted Sadie and asked her if she was almost ready for her date with Joey, which I was hoping would turn out to be a double...meeting up. By no surprise she replied right away and said, "Are you kidding me?! I've been up since 6 a.m. of course I'm ready and I will come pick you up so you don't have to be alone!" But I knew she was only picking me up because SHE was nervous and didn't want to be alone.

   I walked down stairs and went into the living room where I found Ava lying on the couch watching The Notebook, my favorite Romance movie.

"Oh, hey Leila I thought you left already! Want to come watch a romantic movie with me before you leave?" She wiggled her eyebrows.

"Go away!" I said throwing a pillow at her, " You're not getting to me with all of this love business, for now we are just friends....later it can be more than friends. Anyways he's a famous singer I'm sure he's got girls lined up right outside his door."

   I started walking out the door because Sadie had just pulled up. "Yeah but he chose you out of all those girls for a date, and I bet after this one today, all of those other girls are going to have to leave." Ava said smiling at me.

"Thanks Ava! Now behave and you dont have any other boys over either okay." I quick ran back and gave her a hug. Now I was feeling even better about today.
