Caleb and I were about 2 miles out of Kansas City when one of my clue songs came on. It was "Everything Will Change" By Gavin DeGraw. I looked over at him expectantly with my eyes wide and biting my lip. He was singing along when he caught my eye.

"What's the matter?" He asked laughing uneasily.

"It's a clue!" I squealed.

"What is? you staring at me?" He asked.

"No, the song!" I said my eyes getting wider. He had to get it by now!

He concentrated on the road for a little bit and then started smiling. This wasn't just a regular smile it was the biggest smile I had ever seen."Leila, don't get my hopes up just tell me now. Please please please! I think I know what it is."

"You have to guess first!" I said. My heart was pounding as I reached into my purse.

He started to guess the same time I took the tickets out. "It's a Gavin De- OH MY GOSH LEILA NO WAY! NO WAY!! YOU GOT US TICKETS TO SEE GAVIN DEGRAW!!!!" He started jumping up and down in his seat like a little kid, and pulled over the car. He reached over and gave me a huge hug. "Leila I love you so stinking much I can't believe you did this for me!" He stared at the tickets and kept laughing to himself. "I'm going to see Gavin DeGraw! With the best girl friend ever!!"He smiled and gave me another big hug, squeezing every last puff of air out of me.

"Haha okay now for the second surprise, this one is sort of more for me, but I think you'll like it too!" I smiled at him and started playing the song.

"Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd! Buy me some peanuts and er jack, I don't care if I never get back. Let me root, root, root for the home team. If they don't win it's a shame! For it's one! Two! Three strikes you're out at the old ball game!!"I pulled two Minnesota Twins hats out of my purse as the song repeated and we both sang along. I put one on Caleb's head and I put one on me.

"So it's Baseball and Gavin DeGraw. Wow! When you surprise you go all the way!" He said laughing.

"Yes I do! Sorry if you don't like the Twins, I just grew up with them and I'm kind of attached." I smiled at him and he switched his hat backwards.

"Well if you like them then so do I!" He said proudly. "So which one first?"

"Well the concert starts at 3 and we meet Gavin after at about 5:30..." I stopped there and looked at him. His face was frozen in shock. He slowly turned towards me and let out a tiny squeal.

"We're meeting him too?! Oh wow I can't believe it!! This is amazing!! Okay keep going!" He said ecstatic.

"Alright, then we go check into our hotel, and then at 6:30 we head out to see the twins!" I said clapping my hands together.

I wasn't sure which I was more excited for. The concert because I couldn't wait to see Caleb freak out when he met Gavin, or going to the baseball game because my dad used to take me at least three times every summer and I've basically met everyone on the team. And I'm kind of friends with one of their wives, who is also going to be there!

We pulled into the Starlight Theater and could hear the opening band just start to play."Let's get in there before Gavin gets on stage!" Caleb said jumping out of the car and tugging me towards the front door.

"Wait! We have to go in this way." I said, tugging him towards the back door. He wasn't going to be expecting this either.

"But this is only for crew members and Gavin himself!" He said confused.

"Well let's just say I've got a few connections." I told him. We stopped at the door where the security guard stood.

"Sorry miss, not supposed to let anyone else back here." The guard said.
