Ahsoka's POV:

Behind each of us was standing a trooper with a blaster behind our head. And the inquisitor was standing in front of us... counting down... to our final breath...

"Twenty, nineteen, eighteen..."

I closed my eyes and hoped he would count faster...

We lost. I failed. I'm sorry master... I'm sorry skyguy! I'm not the padawan you wanted me to become. And I'll never be...

"Seventeen, sixteen, fifteen..."

I'm sorry Rex... for everything... take care of yourself...

"Fourteen, thirteen, twelve..."

I'm sorry Ghost crew... I had to protect you... but I failed...

"Eleven, ten, nine..."

I'm sorry everybody that believed in me...

"Eight, seven, six..."

I'm sorry...

"Five, Four..."

I... I..

"Three, Two, One..."

I'M SORRY BARRISS! I'M SORRY EZRA!

"FIRE!"

"Not today!"

I opened my eyes to see that all the troopers who stood behind us were dead, the inquisitor was flying to the other side of the place and all the other troopers were down as well.

"You're mine!"

I turned around to see our hero, but the hero turned out to be my enemy... again.

"Barriss! W-why?"

"Like I said. You're mine!" She yelled and wanted to strike me down, but something stopped her... no someone!

"WHY ARE YOU HERE! You should be home!" She yelled again.

"The force warned me that I had to come!"

I lifted up my head to see a boy with blue raven hair in a wheelchair...

Ezra!?

"Get. Out. Go home!" She hissed.

"No." he spat back.

"Ezra! That's an order!"

"Stop Barriss! Please!"

I stood up and walked over to Ezra. He turned around quickly and looked me in the eyes. I never saw so much fear in someone. And... he was afraid... of me...? Like Yoda told me!

"Don't be afraid Ezra. I'm sorry. I really am! I swear! I will never forgive myself for what I did to you!" I pleaded.

"Of course you won't! You're a monster!" Barriss yelled.

"Barriss I'm sorry! I didn't know what I was doing! I was trapped in the dark side! Like you now." I started crying.

"B-Barriss..." Ezra whispered quietly.

"Don't believe her, Ezra! Come here!"

"I'm telling the truth Ezra! You have to believe me!" I cried even harder.

He was standing... sitting... between us. He turned his head from me to Barriss and back... I heard the crew behind me backing away.

Can't blame them...

"Ezra!? Who do you believe!? Someone who's the reason you're disabled, someone who hurted you, betrayed you! Or someone who always stood behind you!" Barriss yelled again...

She was really angry... Ezra turned his wheelchair so he faced Barriss.

"No..." I whispered to myself.

When I thought he would roll to her he rolled backwards to me.

"I'm sorry Barriss... you aren't yourself."

"TRAITOR! You'll fit in just fine with them!"

With that she ran away and we were alone. Well... the unconscious bodies were still around us, but those didn't count. Ezra turned around to face me and I kneed down.

"Ezra I meant what I said... I'm sorry!"

"I know. It's okay. You weren't yourself like Barriss now... Will you help me to get her back?"

"Of course! I wasn't planning to leave her alone! She's still my friend! My best friend..."

I stared at the ground till he broke the silence.

"I trust you. What are we going to do now?"

I was shocked at first but I relaxed after he gave such an adorable smile.

"First we have to wait. C'mon! I guess you're hungry! And if you're not, Zeb probably is!"

"Yep!" Zeb said enthusiastic.

We entered the Ghost and flew away from the city. The troopers were waking up, but too late. Idiots...

"I swear I'll get your ass back to the light side, Barriss. Even ifit's the last thing I do."r
