Standing Alone

Chapter 3.4

Ezra's POV:
I was on Lothal. The crew was gone. I was alone. The streets were empty and not even a loth-cat crossed my path. I kept walking and almost fell over when a kid ran towards me and pushed me aside.

"Hey! Watch where you go!" I yelled.

"Sorry!"

The kid's cloak fell off so I could see the child's face. It was a small Togruta, just like...

Like Ahsoka...

My angry look faded immediately when I thought about my space-aunt.

"Who the Force are you?!" I asked.

"Who the Force are YOU!?" The girl replied.

"I asked you first." I fired.

"I asked you second." She fired back.

We had a stare competition for about 2 minutes until she changed... It's hard to describe. She changed into an elder woman. A stranger for me...

"You will unlock the truth." The woman said

"What? Who are you?"

"You will find out."

"I-I don't understand..."

The woman changed back to the little girl and I just looked at her. She giggled before screaming. She touched my arm and ran away.

"You are the loth-cat! Come and get me!"

First, I was confused, but then I remembered the silly game my friends and I used to play. I was always the loth-cat... The loth-cat has to catch the loth-rats and the first loth-rat that the loth-cat catches, switches roles with that person.

Memories came back when I chased after the little girl. I was always the smallest one of my friends and also the slowest... but I was the smartest! I ran into the opposite direction and hid behind a crate. The girl ran out of the street and after some minutes she came back. She looked around, trying to spot me, but I grabbed her from behind.

"Got you!"

She turned around, but it wasn't the little girl.

"Come and find me, Ezra."

I just stood there, not able to move.

"Wake up." The person said.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"Wake up."

I looked away and then back at the person but there was nobody. I turned around and I wasn't on Lothal anymore... but on a ship... on an Imperial ship... I entered a huge room, but suddenly felt somebody watching me. I turned around and red eyes met mine. I screamed and ran away as fast as I could.

"Ezra!"

I looked around and I was back on Lothal. I saw the Phantom and Rex standing in front of it.

"Ezra! C'mon!"

I wanted to call Rex, but it wasn't Rex who called my name...

"Ezra!"

The voice came from behind me.

I want to bet that when I turn around I'm not on Lothal anymore... Do I even want to know who's calling me?

My curiousness made me turn around and like my thoughts told me, I left Lothal in a flinch and everything was black around me. Only a small bright light.

"Hello?" I yelled.

I ran towards it and Anakin showed up beside me.

"Do what you have to do. Even when it hurts." He said.

"What?"

And at that moment... everything faded away...

Nobody's POV:

Ezra will unlock the truth.
