Chapter 2.13

Sabine's POV:

Maul found me and I ran away again...
He is so slow...

I saw the Ghost landing beside Maul's ship.

"Not today!" he yelled.

Maul ran back to the ship but I jumped in front of him. I still had Ezra's lightsaber so I activated it and so did Maul. I regretted it and started losing.

"What's wrong little Mandalorian? Can't win? Why are you even trying to fight me? Bridger is already dead."

"I WILL SHOW YOU WHO CANNOT WIN! AND IT IS NOT ME!!"

I attacked him with all the power I had. I used my training...1 – 2 - 3 – 4 – 5 – 6  Every move... I used it... And... I wasn't planning on losing! He lost his balance and fell on the ground.

"You cannot kill me! Have mercy!"

"Jedi have to show mercy. But I'm no Jedi."

The lightsaber met his body and I was proud. Maul was dead. I looked at the Ghost and saw that Kanan carried Ezra inside. I ran towards them and followed them inside.

Kanan's POV:
I laid Ezra on my bed and let Hera do her job. He was awake and tried to speak.

"K-Kanan..."

"I'm here, Ez... You'll be alright."

He opened his eyes and they were still red. The rest of the crew came in as well and noticed it too.

"I-I am... s-sorry... g-guys... It is m-my... f-fault..."

"It's okay, Ezra. We never blamed you." Rex said.

"Rex is right. It's not your fault. Maul killed Ahsoka. Seventh Sister killed Barriss. And there was nothing you could do. Please, Ezra... promise me... to remember that. And remember that the dark side only makes things worse."

"I w-will... I promise..."

I hugged Ezra tight and looked at him. His eyes changed back to the color we loved... Blue...
Ezra closed his eyes and fell asleep in my arms...

"He'll be okay, right?" Sabine asked.

"He will. Let's go back to the base." Hera said.

"uh... Hera... Sato sounded serious... I don't think we're welcome..." Rex said.

"When I say that we're going back to the base, we go. I don't care what Sato says. I want to see him kicking us out!"

"so... You're not afraid?"

"Of course not! He is the one who should be afraid!"

We laughed and Hera ordered Chopper to fly us back to the base. She continued to treat Ezra's wound. Everyone walked outside to give Hera the space she needed and that gave me an opportunity to talk with Sabine.

"Sabine... what happened with Maul?"

She grinned and answered my question.

"Let's say that he won't bother us anymore."

"you killed him?" I said astonished.

"Maybe a little... Hey! I'm not a Jedi! I can kill whoever I want, whenever I want!"

I laughed and hugged her.

"it's good to have you two back on the Ghost."

"it feels good to be back... I missed home..."

"Home missed you too."

I released the hug and we went to the kitchen where Zeb and Rex were trying to make a meal.

Everyone is back home...Ezra will be fine... and we're happy again... what can go wrong now!?

Ezra's Mind:
Thanks Barriss...

"You're welcome, my little boy. You will never hear him again."

"Guess again, Offee."

Please no...

"Guess who's stuck in your head beside Offee!"

"Can't you kick him out, Ezzy?"

"You can't. Wren may killed me... but I will never leave you, apprentice."

"He is not your apprentice!"

"No he isn't"

"HE IS NOT!"

Please let this be a nightmare...

"It's not a nightmare, sweetie..."

And I am stuck with you two... but... you both died? Ahsoka died too... why isn't she a voice in my head too?
