-------

You woke up to the sun beaming lightly through the curtains, it was semi blinding so you threw the covers over your head and groaned. You could just tell how early it was by how far the sun had risen. It was the ass-crack of dawn. Today was Thanksgiving, which meant constant cooking. You weren't too thrilled about the idea of slaving over a hot stove and running around the kitchen like a chicken with their head cut off.

You loved the holidays but cooking was always so tedious for you. It was the same damn thing every year but you knew it always lead to amazing food so you didn't do much complaining regardless of how much it stressed you. You loved spending time with your family and also your friends. Eating was just a huge bonus.

Deciding you should get up after laying in and out of the dream realm you noticed that the spot beside you was empty. That's weird, you thought, where's Bokuto?  You shot up out of bed and looked around the room seeing that his slippers were gone. So he's up, but why so early?

Before you even reached the top of the stairs, you smelled it. Smoke. You quickly ran downstairs, nearly falling flat on your face a few times. Reaching the kitchen you saw nothing but a cloud of grey. Your heart was thumping loudly in your chest as you thought of what the hell had happened. "Bokuto!" You yelled in no particular direction, he had to be here somewhere. You heard a lot of banging and then coughing, "I'm over here (Y/N)!"

Bokuto knew he was in deep shit. He had the right intentions but not the right skills, that's why you always did the cooking on the holidays. But, this morning you looked so peaceful sleeping that he decided that he would try to do it.

Big mistake.

You hurriedly opened up all the kitchen windows and turned on the ceiling fans. Thankfully, nothing was on fire. Soon enough you were able to see Bokuto and the disaster he had made. The kitchen was a utter mess, pots and recipe books were sprawled everywhere. "What the hell where you doing!" You yelled harshly at him, it wasn't even that you were mad it was just you were concerned for his well-being and the enactment of your house.

Bokuto hang his head low, guilt was spread across his face, "I wanted to try and help cook this year because you do all the cooking for the holidays and I felt really bad because you looked so cute sleeping so I wanted to help!" His words broke your heart, he was only trying to help.

You ran over to him and wrapped your arms around his waist, "Bokuto, you didn't have to do this. Thank you." His face heated up at your words. He thought you were going to be livid but you thanked him? He was confused but nonetheless, happy. He kissed the top of your head and laughed halfheartedly, "I'm sorry about this.." he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

You looked up at him and laughed softly, "It's okay Bokuto-chan, I still love you. Now, lets clean up." You saw his face light up and he nodded hurriedly. You were still at loss when it came to what was even smoking. Bokuto had the kitchen a mess so pinpointing exactly where it came from was a mystery.

It wasn't the microwave nor the stove so the only logical place to check next was the oven.

You opened it up and a huge puff of black shot into your face. You stood up, coughing like a maniac. Bokuto rushed to your side, slapping your back in some sort of attempt to help. Once everything was cleared you and him both peered into the oven to see just a tin pan. You looked puzzled as you pulled it out but soon realized what had happened.

The turkey had disintegrated into charcoal.

You were at loss for words but you had to stifle a laugh, "H-How long did you put this in for?"

Bokuto looked quizzically at you, "The website said twenty hours per pound. So i started it last night after you went to sleep."

You gaped at him, "Gimmie your phone." He gave you his phone with the website still pulled up. You searched for the amount of time that he was even talking about. Your eyes widened in shock as you read the actual time.

"Bokuto, it says 20 minutes per pound."

Needless to say, Bokuto never touched cooking again.

And to this day, you still have no idea what logic he used to cook.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL

OBVIOUSLY LOGIC WASN'T USED HERE

BECAUSE IF YOU LEFT A TURKEY IN THE OVEN FOR TWENTY HOURS YOUR HOUSE WOULD BURN TO THE GROUND BUT I WANTED IT TO BE FUNNY NOT SAD AND DEPRESSING
