"Hey sunshine!" Zayn smiled, holding the door open for me to enter his family's home. Two little girls sat on the floor playing with stuffed animals and two women and a middle-aged man sat by the older-looking woman. They all wore comfortable clothes and I felt completely out of place.

"Hello everyone." I smiled sheepishly, stepping out of my shoes as Zayn helped pull my jacket off my shoulders.

"This is my family." Zayn smiled, "Everyone this is my girlfriend Lexi." He smiled at them and they returned the smile while my stomach began to bend and churn with guilt. I blushed.

"What is Lexi short for?" The older woman asked.

"That's my mum, Trisha." Zayn smiled at me and the woman waved her hands dismissively.

"Just call me Mum, sweetheart." She smiled warmly. I returned the smile half-heartedly.

"Well...Mum," I chuckled, "My name is Alexandria, Lexi or Alex for short." I smiled.

"What a beautiful name!" The younger woman smiled at me.

"That's my older sister Doniya." Zayn added informatively. I nodded my head and grinned.

"Doniya...Nice to meet you and thank you." Both of the little girls walked up to me bravely clutching their stuffed animals as they began to fist and play with my red curls.

"Zayn brought home Merida, Mum." One of the little girls turned to Trisha as the woman began to laugh. I looked down at the little girl and giggled as a little hand reached up to fist my curls again. I never realized my resemblance to the Disney character until now.

"Sweetie that's Lexi." Trisha corrected the girl lovingly.

"My little sisters, Waliyha and Safaa." He took my hand and smiled at young girls.

(A/N: Yes I do realize Safaa and Waliyha are older but I feel the younger versions fit better)

"Well I'm sorry I came at such a late time." I frowned looked at my phone which read 9:30PM.

"It's perfectly alright, you can spend the night." Trisha smiled.

"Do you mind? I don't want to be bothering you..." I mumbled.

"Nonsense!" Doniya barked happily, "We'd love to have you!"

"May I borrow some nightwear?" I asked, motioning to my dress.

"Oh yes of course!" Doniya smiled and pulled me up the stairs and into her room. The room looked very juvenile for someone her age. The room had purple walls littered with old pictures and posters of boybands from long ago. I assumed this was her room before she left home. She smiled and pulled her suitcase onto her colorful comforter. I walked up to the wall examining pictures of her and a younger Zayn. There was one in particular that caught my eye. "He was such a cute baby." Doniya said interrupting my thoughts.

"Yes that's what I was thinking." I smiled and turned to her as she handed me a t-shirt and pair of soft, plush pants.

"Will this suit you?" She asked.

"This will be perfect." I smiled as stepped outside for the moment. I pulled the shirt over my head and pulled the pants up my legs, tying the strings around my waist. I made my way downstairs and sat at the floor cross-legged in front of Zayn. His mother smiled at me and eyed me slightly, her smile wavering. His father had gone upstairs before I was able to learn his name.

"So...Lexi, where are you from?" Trisha asked me.

"Dublin, Ireland." I said simply.

"That explains the accent." Doniya chuckled.
