I hurried around my kitchen straightening whatever was crooked and checking the granite countertops and tables for non-existent "missed spots". I smoothed my black pencil skirt and unbuttoned my white cotton blouse, showing my jade camisole for a splash of color. My unruly curls were tamed into a French braid running down my back. I glared at my sister as she walked into the kitchen in bunny slippers, groggily. She wrinkled her nose and mocked my glare.
"What's stuck up your ass?" She yawned with a flick of her head.
"How about the fact that someone is coming to offer me a job thats gonna save you from your tomentors, but you don't seem to care because you look like shit!" I growled. She rolled her eyes and wasted more time by pouring herself a glass of orange juice. I walked behind her and threw my hands up in frustration. "Either change or fucking lock yourself in your room and do not come out until I say so." She drank her juice slowly as she shuffled across the kitchen. "GO!" I screetched and she hurried to her room. I smoothed my hair and added a black headband. I sipped my ice water when I felt something foul crawling up my throat. I ran to my bathroom and violently emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet bowl.
"Lexi, are you ok?" Melissa asked from the open doorway of the bathroom.
"I told...you to...stay in your room." I panted, throwing up again violently.
"Are you sick?" She asked sympathtically, she crept to my side.
"It's probably just nerves." I sighed before throwing up the last time, "It happened yesterday morning." Melissa looked me over frantically.
"Are sure you're not...?" She asked awkwardly.
"Please, I don't want to hear that question from my younger sister." I mumbled, wiping the disgusting gunk from my mouth and getting to my feet. "Now get back to your room." I smiled weakly and walked back to the living room and read the news. I heard the doorbell and jumped to my feet to answer it. I opened the door gingerly and a man in a black silk suit strode through the doorway. "Mr. Becker, welcome to my home. Take a seat anywhere." I welcomed.
"Alexandria, thank you for accepting our position." He shook my hand and pecked my cheek.
"Oh please, call me Lexi." I smiled and sat beside him at the couch.
"Lexi, the boys have been hearing about your talents and can't wait to meet you. Especially sense you're the same age as most of them."
"That's sounds amazing." I said politely.
"Well, you will be paid about 8,000 a month and for extra sessions will be determined later." He said shuffling through papers in his briefcase.
"Sounds good." I said, listening intently.
"Will you be bringing a second person along with you?" Brandon asked.
"Yes, I'm bringing my younger sister Melissa." I said and nodded thoughfully.
"Well, since you decided on a second person you guys will have to stay in the boys' bus temporarily." He said, chewing on the inside of his lip.
"Its not a problem at all, it might even be better, living with someone our own age to interact with." I replied.
"I love your attitude towards all of this!" He said cheerfully and pulled out a massive document from his leather briefcase. "If you're certain about this, I will need to sign here." He smiled charmingly and pointed out the place I need to sign.
"I'm happy to be working with you." I smiled and signed my signature, looping my curisve writing perfectly.
"Happy to be in business with you." He said, standing from his seated position.
"Right back at you." I winked and shook his hand.
