Alex's Point of View

"Get her to wake up, please." I heard Niall whisper.

"Why?" Melissa growled quietly.

"I have to take her to Mullingar." He whispered impatiently. There was a short silence, probably an intense stare-down between the two of them.

"Fine, whatever." She said. I imagined her rolling her eyes. Her soft footsteps came towards me and she gently shook me. "Lexi, wake up." I groaned and lifted my head. I saw Niall standing in the doorway and I glared at him.

"Why?" I growled.

"We still have to see my parents. I plan to keep at least one of my promises." He said simply, walking out of Melissa's room without another word. I rolled my eyes and pulled myself out my sister's bed.

"You're not seriously going, are you?" Melissa said disgustedly. I shrugged.

"Well, we made a deal." I sighed and stood up. I walked to my room and opened the door. Niall was sitting on my bed, looking sadly at the floor. I cleared my throat and he looked up at me, alarmed.

"Uh," He gulped, "H-hi Alex, I was just..." He trailed off, clearly at a loss for words. I crossed my arms.

"Why are you in my room, Niall?" I sighed.

"I like it here." He mumbled, "It reminds me of us..." He shrugged and turned to look at my old bed sheets. I looked towards the spot he was looking and old memories flooded my mind. I've never admitted it, but he really did make me happy. I felt a kick in my stomach and I gasped a little. He looked up slowly as I turned to go to my closet. I was enjoying the silence.

"Let's get ready to go." I said and flipped through my closet. He went out the door and closed it behind him. I heaved a sigh and piled my curls on the top of my head in a messy bun. I sweeped a natural brown eye shadow across my lids and drew a thin brown line across my lashline. After a few sweeps of mascara, I went to my closet to find something to wear. I wrapped my arms around my bump and surveyed my options. I pulled a pair of tribal leggings up my legs and a flowy blue button up shirt around my shoulders. Most of my clothes were beginning to suffocate me so I put on the most comfortable clothes I could think of. I put my swollen feet into a pair of brown, fuzzy Ugg boots and put a champagne colored infinity scarf around my neck. I heard my mother get up and walk downstairs. I sighed and opened the door and walked downstairs as well. My mother stood there, looking at me with disappointment as she drank her coffee. "Mum." I croaked, the tears already pricking my eyes.

"Yes?" She said.

"I'm so sorry I lied, Mum." I sobbed and ran to her open arms, "I'm so sorry I lied, please don't hate me, Mum."

"Oh, Alexandria. I can't hate you." She squeezed me tight, "You're my daughter."

"Yeah." I nodded, "I'm going to need your advice when she comes." I sighed.

"Yes sweetheart, I know." She sniffed, "There's something I want to tell you." She said quietly.

"Yeah, Mum?" I said and wiped my eyes.

"You may not believe it, but Niall is a keeper." She said in my ear. I looked up at her and began to laugh.

"Um, thanks Mum." I giggled as Niall trudged down the stairs in a sweatshirt and a snapback.

"To Mullingar." Niall said with a flick of his head as he grabbed my coat off of the chair. I smiled and shrugged.

"Let's go." I sighed as Niall helped me into my coat. He opened the front door for me and closed it behind us. After a short ride in the elevator, we made it to an awaiting rental car in the front parking lot. He opened the passenger's door for me and sat in the driver's seat.
